Hello again - my luck has improved.
The £28 item that got lost took over 2 weeks to be returned to sender but turned up the other day. The buyer really wants the item and paid for repostage figuring it's his fault he didn't get to the post office in time (there was some confusion as he got lots of 'you were out' cards and lost some.

Have bought two fantastic items of furniture, including drawers that I bid over £200 for and won at £102. :) And the old cupboard that got replaced just went for £45 - some theatre wanted to BIN and have taken it away already!

So I think I've made over £80 at least. And my parents had given me £250 to buy new drawers with, so I've 'made' £168 there!

Have a couple nappies to get rid of so will try clothnappytree. Although did buy a bunch more. Blush

May list more next week. Ds and dn are still using all their toys (age 2), but on the plus side don't want anything expensive for Christmas. I'd better enjoy it while it lasts!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 18/11/2010 19:47

Lula Why can you only claim £41 from Royal mail if it sold for £140 and was sent recorded? I thought that covered it up to £500?

Going to try and list some more items tonight. Smile

ShittyBangBang · 18/11/2010 20:13

Isn't that just for Special Delivery though Tortoise?

I really messed up when sending my phone.

I paid for special next day delivery via paypal and dropped it off at the post office. Had a very bad gut feeling that something was wrong because I did not have any tracking info...

Apparently, you can not just 'drop off' parcels for special delivery Blush

Luckily for me I had an honest ebayer though who said he had received it

ShittyBangBang · 18/11/2010 21:28

Shock Shock £21 on a pair of curtains Shock 3 days and 17hours to go too!! Shock

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 18/11/2010 21:30

Looks like it is Shitty (lol! that doesn't sound right!). I thought recorded had some cover too.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 19/11/2010 13:16

I have pulled out the cupboard and now have a HUGE pile of items to list! Will make a start tonight. Must have 50+ items to list now!! Grin

mogs0 · 19/11/2010 14:36

Do you think you'll get all 50 listed?

This week has been crap for listing and I haven't listed anything since last weekend.

Ds and I have got no plans this weekend so will have a good go and listing and maybe schedule some to start while I'm away.

I've got one item waiting to be paid for and the others have been posted this afternoon so I'm almost up-to-date with it all.

My total so far is £365 with a minimum of £35 to add to that with 2 items finishing tomorrow.

ShittyBangBang · 19/11/2010 14:37

You are all doing so well!

mygirllollipop · 19/11/2010 16:01

Pants! You know how I said I wasn't listing or re-listing?

I was tidying for a viewing on the house and done some sorting too and now I have another HUGE pile of stuff to eBay!

Not sure when I'll get round to it. Got nowhere to store it all and need it out of the house, but also have loads more cleaning/tidying/painting to do for the viewing!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 19/11/2010 17:45

Mogs No idea! But i will get as many listed as i can. Have a couple of weeks left to list so not too much hurry!
Not sure when to list 2 kids santa/mrs claus outfits and an adults santa costume! Grin

DirtyMartini · 19/11/2010 17:59

Well, I'm up to about £250 (that's after fees and p&p materials are deducted Smile) after last night's auction endings. The footmuff went for £17 in the end -- it was up to 57 watchers at one stage!

I have a few more things ending Sun night, and more bits to photograph andd list that night too.

Someone mentioned nappies -- are used cloth nappies still banned from sale on eBay? I have lots to get rid of...

DirtyMartini · 19/11/2010 18:10

Gruesome, I'd list the Santa stuff now if I were you. Anything else in your new set of stuff that you are particularly hopeful about?

I feel like there must be things around the house I could sell, I just haven't thought of it ...

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 19/11/2010 18:31

No not really expecting much from any of it TBH! I have monster inc puzzles, Winnie the pooh puzzle ball, number/maths puzzle, doodle doug, mousetrap, pile of soft toys! and a few kids books and other toys. Couple of items of clothing but not sure they will sell at the moment. Smile

ShittyBangBang · 19/11/2010 18:34

Yes they are still banned DM...a shame really.

DirtyMartini · 19/11/2010 21:49

It is a shame -- what is the reasoning? Are the eBay bods worried about poo traces? Confused Ah well. So, is clothnappytree the best place to try and sell them, d'you think? Will check it out.

Just noticed the moon outside ... really looks lovely tonight :)

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 19/11/2010 22:00

Few more listed. I'm not in the zone tonight and laptop was on a go slow at first, so not many added! Will try and list more tomorrow night or Sunday.

ShittyBangBang · 19/11/2010 22:25

Health and Hygiene apparently.

Think I used clothnappytree, or there is the nappy for sale board on here.

Talkinpeace · 19/11/2010 22:37

I don't list on this ID but I sold a £5 plant today - does that help?

ShittyBangBang · 20/11/2010 15:39

Someone offered me £50 for both pairs of curtains....I said no so she has offered me £70.....what do I do??????

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 20/11/2010 16:45

Shitty How much had you hoped to get for them? Also how many watchers? Do they have any bidders?
My answer would depend on those questions. Grin

ShittyBangBang · 20/11/2010 17:03

Not sure on how much tbh.

87 watches, 4 bids and £10.50 on one pair, over 100 watches Shock , 8 bids and £29 on the other. justunder 2 days left to go.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 20/11/2010 17:44

I think you need to let them run TBH as they have bids. Fingers crossed for more bidders! Are they some special make?

ShittyBangBang · 20/11/2010 17:47

They are from Next...not sure if there is anything special about them though.

She has bid on them now though. I did not pay much for them so happy with whatever they go for Smile

ShittyBangBang · 20/11/2010 20:40

Have taken £80 Grin

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 20/11/2010 21:56
Smile

Couple more items listed. Loads more to go! But not tonight.
