There are quite a lot of football fans on MN, and also loads of football-haters. If we hide here in Dadsnet, none of the detractors will find us. But if they do, they are welcome to come here and moan.

You don?t have to be male to post here, of course. (No-one would say women can?t post in the Dadsnet section, just like no woman would EVER say men aren?t welcome on Mumsnet?)

Footy fans please sign in with

Pan · 24/06/2012 22:12

If Pirlo was Paul Scholes Italy would be 4-0 up by now.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 24/06/2012 22:31

Steve Gerrard "We did the country proud"
NO YOU DIDN'T

BelfastBloke · 24/06/2012 22:31

England a quarter-final team. Given the events coming into the tournament, they were fortunate to get that far.

But Roy could take them further in Brazil.

Lawrenson:- "England have players who simply aren't in the game. They?ve not touched the ball for ages."
Not to worry, the Italian keeper didn't touch the ball for ages either.

Where was that guy from the Mars bar advert when England needed him?

Pan · 24/06/2012 23:13

Was Rooney playing with weights in his pockets?

The post mortem should be restrained, surely? The England doctor would be saying 'he's doing as well as can be expected, though he is barely out of recus.'

So, KDDDD, back to those fixtures....

Pan · 25/06/2012 06:47

Still there's a few youngies coming through and two years time would be good for them. (Jones, Wilshere, Smalling foreg). Though I do wonder if Rooney is going to get any better than this.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/06/2012 07:01

I was going to ask about the fixtures and see if was allowed Grin

ThePan · 01/07/2012 22:36

Soooo..those fixtures, KDDDD??

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/07/2012 22:05

Right well, Arsenal away first, Totteringham last. And we have signed Carlos Cuellar (eh?)

Oblomov · 05/07/2012 16:09

AVB ? Oh God. save Me. Why Levy, why ?

BelfastBloke · 06/07/2012 11:13

RvP? He was Arsenal captain, so of course he's leaving. Just following the well-worn script.

@Belfastbloke Arsenal fan? Where is the investment? Either Wenger is a scrimper or the board are. What are your hopes for this coming season? And "Hi"

ThePan · 25/07/2012 14:16

On tank-stirring duties...

I see RvP is being tipped for OT. Well, we could do with a back up striker I suppose.

DanFmDorking · 25/07/2012 21:09

That bloke who made a cock up in Hampden Park needs a different Korea...

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/08/2012 21:32

It has been one of the sports I have been least interested in. Probably watched more archery than football.

ThePan · 05/08/2012 23:01

I know it's heretical to say but.....I am finding so many other Olympic sports more.....interesting.Shock

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/08/2012 08:24

Think we should start a new thread for the season? This one is nearly full.

ThePan · 06/08/2012 15:59

that would be gud. New season new thread. Though right now my appetite for over-paid, prima donnas is a bit limited after seeing and hearing about Olympic athletes. iyswim.Smile
