No i don't think it will. You often see suspects photos on social media these days

He just looks awful. I was just looking at his photo and feeling angry.

What's worse is everyone is pointing out an unusual scar on his face, it looks like an upside down V, and they are speculating that Jojo gave it to him when she was fighting him. It looks like a cut from a ring

I don't think speculating on how the suspect looks, particularly any features like scars, is wise.

Why?

You have no idea how he got a scar on his face. Speculating online that it was caused in the offence he's accused of could jeopardise the trial. It's completely inappropriate to be posting like this.

His photo is all over social media. I've seen it on twitter. The photo of his scar is now also on boards.ie (the main Irish chat forum).

If it's already out there, I would assume it's okay to talk about it here too

They blamed LM for all deaths for a long time, and didn't even seem to investigate any other men

I specifically clicked into this board now to see if she was mentioned. I didn't know this story had blown up, I'll be reading those articles immediately.

I'm not from there and never knew her but I think about her a lot. I am praying she is found and her family have a chance to grieve. Her disappearance genuinely had a profound effect on me.

Please please let there be justice for her xxx

The alleged suspect definitely had a lot of influence.

He was the son of man who was a FG politician, the head of the Irish Farmers association, and who was also a member of European Parliament.

Any chance this crossed Leo's desk a few months back? It might explain his sudden exit.

For me, this is on the scale of the cover up of Church abuse that emerged in the late 90's/early 00's.
It is just truly shocking to the core.
I keep thinking of the family giving the guards her medical records in the genuine belief that they might help.
If what is reported is true, I cannot comprehend the evil of someone who made a conscious decision to release the details of her abortion to intimidate her family into silence.

And it would have worked too. My parents and their friends at the time would have dismissed her as being a 'wild one', she probably ran off with some fella... it was also close to a time when it wasn't uncommon for young women to disappear one day a granny or aunt in another part of the country which we all knew was a euphemism for going to a mother and baby home. That possibly led to a complacency to search for missing young women.

I remember when she actually went missing. I don't remember anything bad being said about her, or her being called a runaway or wild.

I remember that people were very worried about her

I remember the year she went missing. And I remember all the appeals for information to the public.
