Started another thread as the first one was full.

Catherine Connolly deserves her due too. She has been incredibly clear, intelligent and dignified in her arguments against these amendments.

I don't think so. I must look back over all the days events. Hopefully not, 23 million was a huge waste of money for a referendum the public weren't calling for...

The one Yes constituency (Dunlaoighre) voted No on this one. This is even more of a landslide!

Interesting that the Ulster counties are even more 'no' than the rest of us in both referendums.

He is pissed it was leaked during the moratorium.

That was easily solved, release the documents from start and deal with queries and questions

afaicr Roscommon was the only county against SS marriage. Not sure about repeal.

This referendum has really been enlightening, the yes vote appeared to be so strong.

But it appears most voters played there cards close to their chests.

@DublinFemale I think it appeared so strong as all the political party's backed it barr Aontú & some independents, lots of NGOs, the majority of mainstream media, RTÉ & Virgin were very biased to the Yes side so it appeared to have depth & strength... They really were out of touch with the majority of the electorate. Us taxpayers have spent 23 million on the biggest waste of time..

It was a pretty low turnout, I wonder if people didn't bother voting as they had no clue what it was about.

Those who did and did their own research said nope, nada, not a chance.
