No he's not a dad. He doesn't panic in stressful situations but this happened so fast I doubt he had time to think.

honeyrider · 12/01/2023 15:56

His former housemates when he lived with them used to ask him daily if anything funny happened at work and most days he'd have some amusing story. Yesterday's event has surpassed all previous stories :)

When did Trevor Keegan start presenting the weather?!

JaneJeffer · 13/01/2023 17:08

Aileen Hickey is gas, the gear she wears.

She's a bit of a dose but nothing compared to her husband.

JaneJeffer · 13/01/2023 21:38

The two of them were reviewing Spare and were totally Team Harry

Enjoyed room to improve last night, they got a great result in a limited burger but I can't understand how you would be in rented accommodation for 3 years when you own a house !

A lot of the finance is baffling, they need a money expert to ask the home owners about that side of things. I didn't like the red window, i liked the other windows.

LadyEloise1 · 16/01/2023 13:02

I watched it too.
It turned out very nice.
3 years renting and they hadn't cleared out the house much over those 3 years. They had plenty of time to clear it during Covid restrictions.
How did they magic up the extra money when they went over budget ?
I was disappointed we never got to see the pink resin bathroom upstairs.
The daughter toned her room plans way down.
I thought they were doing all the window frames in red. It looked odd with just the one done.
I loved the mirrored splash back but it would be hard to keep clean.
When the budget is limited I don't understand why the owners don't pare back their demands or tailor them to their budget.
But I guess if you have a magic money tree..............

I'm catching up on the Player and watched the first episode of Dermot last night, the old family homestead in Tullamore. I really liked it. A lovely job. Loved that they kept the porch as it was a feature of the original house and the old outbuildings. Pergola was okay. It looked very remote, but probably wasn't.

JaneJeffer · 16/01/2023 23:25

I'm watching The Great House Revival now. Kelly is gorgeous. She reminds me of Doris Day with the big smile. The windows alone must have cost a fortune.

JaneJeffer · 18/01/2023 18:42

Seems Ireland and the UK don't want doddery Biden anywhere near the NI protocol agreement Grin

halfpasteleven · 18/01/2023 21:54

Anyone else sick of driving on the frosty/icy roads these days? Tonight and tomorrow morning not promised great again..
I find it so stressful and exhausting doing the commute in this weather. I've back roads and motorway to deal with.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 20/01/2023 12:38

The weather is to improve from tomorrow (back to rain, yay!) and there's definitely a teeny-tiny stretch in the evenings... I'm looking for the positives because it feels like it's been January for about 89 days now!

eggandonion · 20/01/2023 15:20

2 weeks to st bridgets weekend! Then Valentines, pancakes and st Patrick to look forward to.
But about 50 more days of January to go, the temperature may be higher but the rain is chilly.

HilarysMantelpiece · 22/01/2023 14:37

Only 50 more days in January😁😂😂

eggandonion · 29/01/2023 22:26

Day 92 of January...at least daffodils have arrived in super valu.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 30/01/2023 11:16

Yep, aong with the Easter Eggs.... Shock

We're nearly there, and I'm definitely starting to see the grand stretch a little each day!

HilarysMantelpiece · 30/01/2023 16:18

Ah Life, that's the "cock's step" in the evenings. 😀

LadyEloise1 · 30/01/2023 17:03

Daffodils being sold in Super Valu.

That's nothing !!!

I saw them blooming in a park in Dublin in early January

JaneJeffer · 01/02/2023 19:21

Beannachtai lá Fhéile Bríde gach duine. January is finally over 😅

halfpasteleven · 01/02/2023 22:04

Happy at Brigids day to all - Brigid brings the Spring.. a powerful saint for us to invoke with our intentions.

eggandonion · 01/02/2023 22:53

Lovely to have a new bank Holiday, the grand stretch in the evening is another thing to celebrate.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 02/02/2023 11:07

The hot cross buns are in SuperValu, scenting the air with their cinnamon and spice, leading me into temptation!
