GroceryAid School Essentials Grant 2024

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

Someone's posted on one of the GroceryAid Facebook posts that they've been told everyone has been paid it. I read it as though the funds have now been used and if we haven't already heard, we have been unsuccessful 😣

It says up to the 9 august can't see them using it all yet. Otherwise they would have closed the application. I wouldn't listen to what you read.

According to Grocery Aids own social media if the grants run out before 9th of August people should still get an email letting them know that is what happened. So i guess we just have to keep waiting one way or another to see

Me either 😭 I've asked them if all the funds have been issued but don't know if they'll answer 🤔

Hopefully we hear soon one way or the other it just feels like we've been forgotten about 😅

Great! I've never heard of this so I've missed out ffs. How have you been never heard of this. Our local council have failed us here

It’s not a council run scheme. It’s from Groceryaid who support people who work within the grocery sector.

You would only have heard of it if you or your partner work in a grocery business or distributor. Nothing to do with council

I still haven't heard anything thing panicking a little they say it's around 6000 kids they can help still keeping my fingers crossed

Me too. I've messaged asking if the emails are coming first or the payment because the girls who have commented on here said they got the money first.
All replies are just 'you'll know by the 9th August' 😒

I found out on the last day to apply so I doubt I'll be in luck 🤦🏻‍♀️the waiting to know is driving me mad

It's totally random who they are selecting so you've got as good a chance as the rest of us 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

There was a comment made by them on their Facebook post that sounded like they haven’t used all the fund yet, so there’s still hope 🤞
