Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

Yes I applied the day that it was live. I had email then 2 days later to say thank you for application and documents. So not sure if that means I'll get it last year think I had the payment end of July.

I'm the same but it does say up untill the 9 th august... So we just have to wait. I suppose if we are unsuccessful they would have sent an email or something saying so

Any one heard yet. They send email to my friend who also applied. She will have the funds in the next 5 working days.

My other friend heard today she didn't apply till the evening on the Day. So not sure what to think

Hey I've applied and still not heard back last year I'd heard back by the 5th July fingers crossed for us all.

Think it might be luck if the draw tbh.... Maybe they going through documents . If we don't qualify this time I should imagine they going to send confirmation either way.

I've emailed asking if we will hear back regardless of the outcome and they said "all applicants will have a final decision by 19th August".

I think that confirms we will hear if we are unsuccessful too x

Our first time applying this year. Id done our application within 10 mins of opening and we havent heard a thing. Getting really worried now as it appears theyve changed the system from what my husbands manager told us it was!

Yeah we always heard back within a few days!

Last few times it's been closed when they've reached their application capacity.

This time it seems they're reviewing each application before you who is getting awarded and who isn't.

Does your husbands manager know much about the process? X

I don't understand tho girls as my friend as had her it went in to account yesterday. She showed me the email aswell so not sure what is going on tbh.
