GroceryAid School Essentials Grant 2024

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

Hi,

If you work in grocery, eg supermarkets etc, you can apply for a £150 per school aged child grant for school uniforms.

You need to be in receipt of Universal Credit and have savings under £4000.

Still no news here and getting decidely more worried with each passing day!

Nothing here either. The more days that pass, the more certain I am that I haven’t been successful this year. It would have really helped us out again and I am disappointed, but there has to be a cut off somewhere I guess.

I did read something today that said they had over £1million to award out with it, hoping it covers everyone 🙃

I’ve just woken up to find the money in my bank account, had no email to say been successful. Keep checking your banks :)

I didn't have an email either been following this post so thought I would let people know I received a payment today aswell x

Did u apply when the grant first went live.

i applied at 9pm the day it went live

I applied on the day it went live but on the evening x

I applied late in the evening also. So if I have it I have it if I don't be a shame but not the end of the world.

Haven’t got an email but had the money for my 2 children go in the bank this morning. X
