GroceryAid School Essentials Grant 2024

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

I know I've only got the 1 child this year I had it for 2 last year.

I've got 3 so probably not their first priority as they'll likely want to give to more people with single children x

My daughter just finished school so it just my son. If you here keep me posted 😘

It says on the website that successfully applicants will be randomly generated from those who meet the criteria and have provided all the information requested, so if they had more applicants than they have grants then it sounds like it's just luck of the draw.

Just have to wait then. I know my friend has 1 child and works part-time so weather that comes under eligibility first

It’s their 23/24 impact statement, basically a newsletter.

I opted in to receive communications from them.

Oh right... You can apply for a financial grant if anyone is unsuccessful x

Looks like the applications are being assessed at random.

I don't think it matters when or what time we applied x

Hey I've been following this post I received it last year for three of my children as that's the max, I applied like yous literally as it went live. I haven't heard anything back yet either last year I got it 5th of July I think.
I know I'm the only one in my store applying as no one else meets the criteria so I don't know anyone that has got it yet fingers crossed as it was a great help last year

I'm actually relieved to hear other people haven't heard back to be honest.
I'm hoping they've still got plenty to go!

I keep praying we will hear soon. Its a bit infuriating that if you contact them all you get is a generic response back. Husbands manager has no clue as he said previous years they only opened the grant for a certain number of applications and then worked through them in order. This time round theres no telling how many applied to how many are available. Stressful much!. Would get messed about on the first year we can apply wouldnt it?! 🙈🤣

Yes had it on Wednesday. I had it last year also but this year only 1 child as my daughter left sixth form hope you all get it it's a big help

Anyone had news today?

Could you tell me the criteria please. Google isn't telling me much.
