GroceryAid School Essentials Grant 2024

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

Or how many they've already paid out 🤔 fingers crossed one of us will hear tomoz xx

Got mine today. No email or anything, just suddenly appeared in my account :)

Got mine today too, as above no email of acceptance. Didn't show as pending or anything just went into my account about 3 this morning

Mine went in this morning too, definitely didn't expect it so that's a massive weight lifted, fingers crossed for you all

8 year old and 17 year old that attends college

3 kids for me too & I haven't heard anything either x

They'll do it in the order of 1 child - 3 children so they can say, "we helped X amount of families".

If they do the families with 1 child first, they'll help more I guess x

I applied for 2 kids and haven't heard anything yet

Yes I did received it this morning after an email from the senior staff of groceryaid to sort it out she said that 2 times Charis went to put the payment in it failed and on third time it's now gone over to my bank.

But none of my bank details were wrong it's their end that's messing up abit.

Hi there I applied when it went live I haven't heard anything but managed to contact them today and said they still going through applications. Once the funds are used they will stop processing payments and let applicants know. But she couldn't actually look to see my application as they don't do that she said. So think it just a waiting game. She said if successful we will have an email confirming and to say when funds will be processed.

From what I've seen - most are getting the payment before the successful email.

Sigh - back to checking the bank at all hours
