Three bed semi on a water meter for 3 people is £25 a month.

My friend in the same street is not on a meter and its £50.

My Gas and electric are £330 though.🤦‍♀️

It’s still substantially cheaper and not billed separately so included in our council tax.

WhereYouLeftIt · 22/01/2023 21:47

£24 per month, 3 bed, metered.

It costs us a lot less since we had the meter installed, I think it was about £35 before.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 22/01/2023 21:47

South west water here so the most expensive I believe?

£127 per month for water and sewerage

IfOnlyTheyMeantIt · 22/01/2023 21:50

Yorkshire Water, £42 for 3 of us.

Neverknowinglysensible · 22/01/2023 21:51

Welsh Water: water meter that has been estimated since 2019 ‘due to Covid’. 2 adults, dishwasher/washing machine each x3-4times a week, mainly showers: £33.50pm.

Strawberry0909 · 22/01/2023 21:52

£32 a month on a meter, 3 bed semi, 2 adults,
2 small children bristol/wessex water

SonnySideDown · 22/01/2023 21:53

EdvardMunchsMuse · 22/01/2023 22:00

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 22/01/2023 22:34

But your council tax is more because of this, so it’s not £0 at all.

£70 a month. Three bed detached two adults two children. Cumbria. Bit of a joke as the lake we get the water from is 6 miles down the road. Can't believe how little others are paying!

This is interesting. It's who I'm with too at £50pm, just for me and DS7

WhinnieThePoohHead · 22/01/2023 22:40

Mine’s from a spring so it’s free, but it goes brown when it rains 🤷🏼‍♀️

Songbird54321 · 22/01/2023 22:42

£35 a month with Northumbrian Water, metered. There's 2 adults and 2 small children. Ours used to be about £27 a month but both kids have a bath before bed every night and we're back to doing lots of laundry and washing bottles etc with the smallest. I'm hoping it'll reduce a little bit in a year or so as she gets older like it did with our first

EweCee · 22/01/2023 22:42

Just looked at new bill today - despite usage going down 70%, our monthly bill has just gone up from £11 to £76!!!!! Needless to say I will be calling them tomorrow….

PinkPantherPaws · 22/01/2023 22:43

£51 per month, water meter - 5 people.

It used to be £85 a month on the standard unmetered rate so a water meter saved us a fair bit.

Cornelious · 22/01/2023 22:44

We don't pay water charges in this part of uk. When I lived in England was around £50 per month.

Justdancinginthedark · 22/01/2023 22:45

£0 in N.Ireland. It is part of your rates bill from land registry.

SummerSazz · 22/01/2023 22:45

£41 p.m. for 4 b d detached. Not on a meter and think it would go up if eek did!!

bloodywhitecat · 22/01/2023 22:47

But your council tax is more because of this, so it’s not £0 at all.

My council tax is less than some of my family pay elsewhere and I get a lot more for it. Equivalent band in Essex is half as much again as I pay. Both my bins are emptied weekly, I’m in walking distance of a huge library, a swimming pool, museums, parks, the subway and train station. Potholes aren’t great though.

Wiccan · 22/01/2023 22:50

Meter £180 every 7 months joint water & sewerage

Emmamoo89 · 22/01/2023 22:52

£24pm

Undertheoldlindentree · 22/01/2023 21:28

£68.14 a month - England. No meter (told would be more expensive). One adult, one teen. We don't use the bath, just showers. Dishwasher on every other night. Washing machine on 2-3 times a week. Don't use hosepipe regularly in summer. Seems high.

I think in England if you get a water meter installed, you can revert back to an unmetered bill within the first 2 years. So if you get one fitted and the bill is higher (I don’t think it would be from what you’ve said) then you can just go back to what you’re currently paying.

I pay about £40 less a month than my neighbor who isn’t on a meter and I probably use more water! She doesn’t have a dishwasher and only has short hair to wash 🤣

McAvennie · 22/01/2023 23:26

£7.50 a month for a 3 bed semi with 2 adults and 1 child - South Staffs Water.

I've got no idea why it's so low as we do typical showers/baths and run the dishwasher/washing machine every other day, but they've been out twice in the past 18 months to read the meters in the estate and the account is showing as breaking even 🤷‍♀️
