Jam very diverse me Grin

WreckTangled · 10/01/2019 18:45

Thanks sneaky. Tonight's comment from ds 'I'm not being mean but it would have been nicer if you had bought it rather than made it yourself' Hmm ooo you should look up the bbc good door recipe for crispy shredded beef. It's so good! Also get some sesame seeds because they make any wok dish perfect Grin

SneakyGremlins · 10/01/2019 18:53

How old is DS? Old enough to cook his own food? Shock that's shocking!

Will it work with chicken? Blush not massively keen on beef

Cagliostro · 10/01/2019 18:53

My areas of expertise are board games and anime 😂 and I can talk A LOT about autism and home education, as you have all experienced 😳

Unescorted :o you made me laugh with the medical journal comment, I needed that 💐❤️. I wish I lived nearer to hear your next stand up routine!

The others are at Badgers/Cadets, and I’m binge watching Friday Night Dinner.

Unescorted · 10/01/2019 18:54

wreck I get comments like that too.

Sneaky I will add sesame seeds in too. I bought a huge bag a while back and we haven't used as any as I thought we would.

Oooh little monkey wreck 😡

SneakyGremlins · 10/01/2019 18:55

Thankyou Unescorted SmileFlowers

Busy day at work today, no study to report....yay!
Em the Devon trip sounds good, I always like planning so that there are things to look forward to.
Jam sounds like your dd is being quite pragmatic despite the disappointment.
maltesers well done on the frog eating. These things rarely end up as bad as you think they are going to be.
cag sorry to hear your dh's news. Hopefully he gets seen quickly as he's young.
Girlie hopefully the meds will help (I think you said you were being put on something but can't read back on the iPad.

Another cricket meeting tonight [sigh], work tomorrow & then a week off, yippee!! I'm trying just to make the most of the time: sleep, exercise, healthy eating, catching up with friends, reading and sewing all things I haven't done enough of over the past 4 months & none of which involve much spending.

Bornlazy · 10/01/2019 18:59

Wreck I totally feel your pain!! There is nothing worse than slaving away over a pressure cooker hot stove only for the recipients to turn their noses up. I. Hate. Cooking!!

If I only spoke when I was an expert on the subject I'd be completely silent Blush. Maybe that's what I should do DH would certainly be all for it Grin

northender · 10/01/2019 18:59

wreck could you make a shopping list & delegate it?

Cagliostro · 10/01/2019 19:03

Girlie lifelong meds? Do they not operate? DSS is having issues with a hernia too, is it reflux issues you were struggling with? He’s going to try a different medication for now (one of the ones ending in zole) it sucks how much it affects him at random times, his seems to flare up due to particular triggers as well. I really hope they can find something to help :(

Ugh I have life admin to do. And our trampolining teacher can no longer run our class 😭 so that’s it after next term. Bah. She’s awesome, can’t imagine finding anyone like her!

northender · 10/01/2019 19:06

Cag you beat me to it, I was going to ask about surgery Girlie . They used to do a Nissen fundoplication if I remember right. It's a long time since I worked in thoracics though so I'm sure things will have moved on

WreckTangled · 10/01/2019 19:06

Sneaky he's 6! He did eat it all and said he liked it but not that much, which is fair enough. Yes you could totally do it with chicken! Chicken stir fry is so easy, I never buy sauces either so much cheaper to make your own.

North to be fair to dh he has said he will go food shopping but quite often I will choose things as I am there, planning meals in my head as I see things, and because I do all the cooking I don't really trust him to get the food Blush it makes sense for me to cook because I'm home first.

Ds has requested veggie burgers and dd spag bol is thats two meals chosen at least.

Unescorted · 10/01/2019 19:11

cag I try out all my shit jokes on you guys. I think I need to get some more gigs. It is like childbirth; after a while you together how horrific it was.

Yorkshire's in the oven......one thing they don't complain about.

SneakyGremlins · 10/01/2019 19:13

Brilliant! Thanks Wreck Grin

He'd better eat the burgers!

Unescorted · 10/01/2019 19:17

wreck I do the meal plan in the shop thing too. It is triggered by something that looks nice...and we go from there. I do have having to always be the one who decides though.

I fear I have no expertise, just a lot of firm opinions..... I am so bad at quizzes because I am convinced my wrong answer is the right one. The rest of the team defers to me because I appear convincing....and I sulk.

Happierwithouthim · 10/01/2019 19:20

I've not been on since 11am I've got a lot of catching up to do Grin

SneakyGremlins · 10/01/2019 19:25

Living alone is great. I never get served a meal I don't like Grin

sometimes buy an extra chicken breast for the cat though

I've always wanted to do a pub quiz, I LOVE quizzes. Applied for Tipping Point and The Chase and everything Smile

Wolfcub · 10/01/2019 19:26

I love a quiz. I am fiercely competitive when it comes to quizzes

Unescorted · 10/01/2019 19:28

How is your sporting knowledge...and soaps, and celeb gossip and old TV programs. As you can see there are a few gaps in my quiz expertise. I am quite good on random political gossip and behind the scenes whispers at the department.

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 10/01/2019 19:31

My soap and celeb knowledge is shite to be honest

ememem84 · 10/01/2019 19:31

Gym done.

Text dr re my medical form. The practice hadn’t sent it over to her. Sigh. She’s going to look for it tomorrow.

Spends £3 catch kidston on a dinosaur plate for ds to live at dparents. And £43 in oasis on a new bag and a shirt with cat faces on it. Gift card purchase.

northender · 10/01/2019 19:45

Wreck I get that re shopping. I'm similar and only send dh if I have written a comprehensive list that must be stuck to!!

Frugal thing today, not going to lovely, local pizza restaurant for tea & making dough for HM pizzas instead. All ingredients already in the cupboards or fridge. I will try to post a frugal win each day if I can.

WreckTangled · 10/01/2019 19:45

Helpful cat...

Frugaleer just jamming.
northender · 10/01/2019 19:46

Wolf very competitive quizzer here too! Like sport and current affairs I think. Films is my worst.
