wolf thanks doll face!

flappy no need for talc today - pebble beach!

I’ve packed around eleventy million changes of clothes for ds.

He’s napping at the moment. So we haven’t left the house yet!

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 13:49

I'm just in the garden on a lounger reading a book Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/07/2018 14:07

Thank you Wolf

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/07/2018 14:08

Lounger is getting put to good use so wreck how do you keep your white top so white? I think I'll be putting every scrap of white clothing into washing machine & trying sunny's trick!

I'm going to nap now

SnugglySnerd · 08/07/2018 14:21

Thanks Wolf

Mammy I was just popping in to say thank you to Sunny for her amazing washing trick. I did it this morning and everything looks sparkling clean. Even the white t shirt DD got blueberry juice down!

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 14:25

Mammy it's actually cream and I only really wear it when it's really hot (so not very often!).

Sunnys trick didn't work in ds' tops but I only left it an hour and they are truly disgusting (tomato pasta sauce and sun cream).

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/07/2018 14:27

Thanks for the new thread Wolf

It was very helpful and Im going to just accept how I am .

I love a pebble beach em Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 14:49

Thanks for the new thread wolf. I like how you filled up the old one too.

Snuggly that's great that it worked for you. It's lovely to get everything white isn't it?

Wreck Interesting! Maybe you need biological washing powder for those kinds of stains. I just do the long soak to get rid of the grey, and I have no idea what the grey is. I'd be interested to know if you try it. I like a bit of home chemistry.

Good idea to be happy with who you are Bandit. It's the way forward I think. I'm pretty happy with myself too, thought keen to be able to eat again.

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 15:00

I use bio washing powder anyway 🤷‍♀️ my whites are never grey though 😇 just stained!

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 15:13

Ah! That's different then. Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/07/2018 15:48

Thanks wolf

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 15:54

Ds is drilling holes in a cardboard box with dh's drill. Keeping him entertained!

SnugglySnerd · 08/07/2018 16:21

Tomato stains disappear by magic if you wash then hang out in bright sunlight.

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 16:24

I had them out Friday snuggly but they didn't go. Another one that's awful is peach juice! Or nectarine. Nightmare.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/07/2018 16:26

Bleach decanted into a spray bottle.

SnugglySnerd · 08/07/2018 16:35

Bananas randomly stain really badly. I don't know why. They are such a pale colour.

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 16:44

I tried bleach on ds's white polyester polo shirts for school and they came out really odd. They did have white patches but then there were also blue-grey tide marks in rings all over the shirt, and that was from entirely immersing the shirt in dilute bleach for quite a long time. No idea what was going on there.

ememem84 · 08/07/2018 18:14

Back from the beach.

Ds loved the sea. First sea swim!!! Yaaaay!

We sat him on dh’s paddleboard and I sat with him and dh/Dm/dsis and df pushes us about in the water. All over the waves etc. He thought it was hilarious.

Cagliostro · 08/07/2018 18:52

Signing in, cheers wolf 💐

Glad to be home, it is too hot.

Spent the afternoon at DD’s ballet school, she won the class medal for ballet, and for the jazz workshop group too! Yay!🏅🏅

Getting very excited about tomorrow’s Ikea delivery. 🤓😂

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 19:05

That's brilliant Cag! Well done her, and you too.

SnugglySnerd · 08/07/2018 19:19

That sounds like fun Em!

Well done Cag's dd!

CurlsandCurves · 08/07/2018 19:20

Cheers for the new thread, @wolf.

Spent a lot of the afternoon messaging with a friend who’s having a really crap time at the moment. Her family just do not appreciate her and have no respect for her at all. Makes me so mad on her behalf as she’s such a lovely selfless person.

Had to do a bit of ironing earlier, almost melted! But i just did the stuff necessary for the next few days. And in other laundry news, my brand new washing machine appears to be tearing our clothes to shreds! Found a hole in my pyjama top a few days ago and the new today a pair of DHs shorts has been ripped. Got an engineer coming out on Thursday. But I darent continue to use it so back to traipsing up to my mums with baskets of washing.

Got to say I’m so jealous of you guys who have the beach so close. I live about as far away from the beach as you can get in the uk!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/07/2018 20:11

Snuggly bananas are the worst for staining, remember that from weaning days.

Nofilter · 08/07/2018 20:16

Hi,

I started to follow this thread / attempt an envelope system and then it just tailed off.

Been really speedy as we are moving house and 2 houses into one as DM moving in with us and we're renting the houses so DIY and various jobs, appliances, paint etc needed..

However I think I'm comfort spending, I seem to have this "need" to buy things - not crazily expensive - but just can't seem to wait to order something...

Fresh start!!

I was so much happier when I was respecting my money and when I don't I get bogged down with financial insecurity.

Here goes #taketwo

Hello all xx

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/07/2018 20:22

Thanks for new thread wolf

We had a lovely day in the end, we found an outdoor pool that wasn't too busy and had a great time, dd spent about 4 hours in the pool!

Stopped at the garden centre en route and picked up some bits to repot my orchids and orchid spray £8.

The wends go so fast 😢 next week is very busy, we have a show to go to on wed night when England play!! Typical as we rarely go out!!
