Good luck Meadow!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/06/2018 06:54

The joules sale has lots of winter gloves etc. It would make a good Christmas stocking filler.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/06/2018 07:36

Sending lots of love to meadow

Is anyone one else suffering from awful, awful hay fever at the moment? I figured I had a cold as it was so bad.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/06/2018 07:38

Yes Love, it is awful at the mo.

Wolfcub · 19/06/2018 07:44

Love yes me too I feel rotten. No hayfever tablet will touch

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/06/2018 07:51

Have you seen the dr?

Bornlazy · 19/06/2018 08:08

Hoping for a NSD today as haven’t had one for a while.

Hope things are progressing well for meadow.

Cag haven’t really gotten into Futerama but will watch it if it’s on and think it’s funny. I wouldn’t bother with a coffee table as it’s just another four corners to worry about them banging their head on. Tesco have some wardrobes half price in their closing down sale.

Have any of the hay fever sufferers tried Vaseline to trap the pollen?

Cagliostro · 19/06/2018 08:30

I have a feeling I had an Ikea card once, but we have only been rarely as it’s such a trek, so goodness knows where the card is. I suppose I could sign up anew with our new address though? Can I do it there?

Ooh yes thanks must look on Tesco direct, and look for other stuff on it too - trampoline is an essential as well 😂 (so I can tell the Caglets to sod off into the garden if they get too bouncy... so that’ll be all the time then 🙄)

I love futurama more than the Simpsons, we ended up buying a multi region DVD player just to get the later series as they came out in America 😳😳😳 I am now enjoying seeing the futurama references in the Simpsons. I love an Easter egg, as they are known. 🤓

If you print and return this you can opt out of all the crappy leaflets the postman puts through your door.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/06/2018 08:47

We've never had a coffee table cag and it only matters about twice a year when my nan visits and has a cup of tea, for everyone else there's window ledges and the unit below tv to rest their cup Grin

Depends on if you play boardgames on it or not though I guess.

For me it's only an obstacle to make your way around in a room but depends on how big your room is too I guess.

Cagliostro · 19/06/2018 08:54

Yes it’s not a massive living room, bigger than our current one though. So it’s definitely not an essential. Board games will more likely be played at the main table. We only have a small round one ATM with four chairs (and will get cagletini a proper high chair) but the plan is to upgrade to a bigger rectangular one that can be expanded, since mostly it will just be us five but when we have DSCs round there will be 8 or 9 of us! But a table is not really a priority yet as we have lots of other stuff to buy. Same with a sofa - ideally we would like a big corner one, but we have a sofa already so upgrading can wait.

We have a coffee table made specifically to take larger board games. It has rounded bull nose corners. We didn’t have this when ds was a toddler though we had an evil sharp cornered coffee table!

SnugglySnerd · 19/06/2018 09:19

All our furniture currently had those padded corner guards on!

Another one here with bad hayfever. I'm also having the period from hell. They are getting worse every month. I think it's time to see my gp.

ememem84 · 19/06/2018 10:42

I am sniffley. Never suffered from hay fever. I’m putting it down to the Invisalign treatment and my teeth moving and nudging my sinuses. This happens right?!

LonelyOversharer · 19/06/2018 12:39

Well. I have a JOB!!!! She offered it to me on the spot. I very almost burst into tears, but didn't.

I start on thursday, this thursday. Holy moly.

Thats full time, 37.5 hrs a week, minimum wage for now. Its a 3 month trial to get started with. I ran the numbers through the benefits calculator, we will lose the working tax credits, but the child tax crdits stay the same, so all in all, we will be about £700 a month better off. I'm only just starting to realise just how little money we have been surviving on for years. This will change everything. Literally everything.

And dp is happy to be the stay at home dad, do the afternoon pick ups, and bum around the house during school holidays. But, money!

Thankyou all for all your support. I genuinely don't think I would have had the guts to do this before I found you on this thread Flowers
