Anytime TBH, neither of us drink alcohol really, so he orders a tea for him and a coke for me. We are somewhere there's shedloads of actual cafes (3 or 4 costas let alone any other chains) but we don't go in those much. Less weird looks when he's ordering food as well though (wetherspoons etc)

Always makes me think of Nick Frost in At Worlds End where he says it takes real balls to go up to a crowded bar and order water :o

ImAFurchester · 15/07/2017 20:22

Oh god no definite typo haha!!! I meant 20! Sorry

100yearsdotcom · 15/07/2017 20:31

Lol ta fur! Grin

Haven't had a takeaway after all so a NSD for me today.

I got a mad craving for cola while pregnant and blamed it on dh as he drinks gallons of it. Only other craving was peaches!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2017 21:15

Day and night crème. Usually about 7 ish after an afternoon round town. I also drink tap water in pubs but that's just cos I'm tight. Pop is usually more than beer.

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 21:46

I'm all about Fanta at present. Icy cold Fanta. I've also entered the competition to product test new recipe Fanta. Mmm.

Nsd today. Yay!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/07/2017 22:11

Hi all late check in, party was a success Smile my pavlova (if I do say so myself) was a triumph Grin will def make one again as was fairly straight forward really although quite boring doing all that whisking have loads of food left which is a bonus.

Dd had a lovely party this morning at Claires Accessories , they shut the shop for it Shock lucky girls, they were also given £10 each to spend in the shop with 20% off.

Am knackered though, busy few days and am flagging. Hoping tomorrow will be fairly quiet...

Spends today were £34 in B&M (shopped while dd was at her party) on lots of toiletries and bits.

CremeEggThief · 16/07/2017 00:32

Sounds like a lovely day, Girlie. All the hard work you put into it was worth it!

Life, I often order a tap water along with a coffee or alcohol, in a café or pub. Or with a meal, if that's all I want.

SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2017 06:44

Party sounds good, Girlie. I love pavlova. DH is great at meringue. I must drop some hints...

I also order tap water with a meal. I like a beer in the pub though. A friend of mine who is a bit of a pub bore enthusiast gets really annoyed when people order eg a cappuccino as they take a long time to make and hold up the queue. Wetherspoons coffee is much cheaper than Costa etc though so I ignore him.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/07/2017 07:47

I just order water as my main thing. So sit/ stand and drink just water. No other drink or meal. Alcohol is just not my thing.

£20 last night on dinner. Footy again today.
Dh will be spending a fortune at the gig and on last night's pub dinner

Cagliostro · 16/07/2017 07:55

Mmmm pavlova!

Food spends should be it today, friend has a picnic party for her little girl and we need to pick up food beforehand at the Sainsbury's next to the park. Might get something hot from the counter.

DH left at half five, he's off to para athletics. We were supposed to all be going, and staying at mum's (lives in greater London so much quicker to get there) but engineering works ruined that. Hmm Given the early start we've decided against it, and the Caglets were quite worried about the noise and crowds. Caglets' tickets were only £3 each and DSD has my ticket so they get some father daughter time which is nice. :) And I get a lie in :o except it's one of those lie ins where you wake up stupidly early. Hmm So have been catching up on various iplayer things.

ememem84 · 16/07/2017 08:26

Oh I love pavlova!!! May do a request to dm for one for my birthday.

ememem84 · 16/07/2017 08:27

I'm awake early here too. Dh is sleeping. He was meant to get up feed catface do litter tray etc but as he's sleeping and she's noisy I've done it. He's meant to be making brunch but I'm starving now so debating toast and Nutella. Then brunch.

Cagliostro · 16/07/2017 09:03

Toast and Nutella isn't a bad idea! I have crunchy peanut butter too. One slice of each sandwiched together. Oh my.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/07/2017 09:12

I'm also awake earlier than I wanted to be, girl cat who has decided she quite likes to stay out all night but very loudly decides she also wants to come in at 7.20am!! Couldn't get back to sleep, grrr!! Oh well having a lazy day so will just have to factor in a nap Wink

Going to have eggs on toast for brekkie.

Had never made a pavlova before, used Mary Berrys recipe and its really straight forward and delicious, would def make it again.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2017 09:17

joulesclothingoutlet on eBay has loads of kids clothes on there at the moment.

Cagliostro · 16/07/2017 09:24

Ooh thanks fluffy I'll have a look. Also need to look at jojomamanbebe or whatever it's called, apparently they have dinosaur stuff and DD is determined to dress Cagletini in palaeontology related gear from birth :o

Far too tired to leave yet as I've been up since 5 and not managed to nap. Finally having my toast and then must get going really.

ememem84 · 16/07/2017 09:46

cag they do have dinosaur stuff. As does joules I didn't buy a whole load noooooo

Joules is on topcashback too.

Dh got up and made shakshuka again for breakfast with flatbreads (bought not homemade). We had a Sunday breakfast at the table which was nice -even if I had to put pj bottoms on, have been warm at night so have been sleeping in a Tshirt and pants. The house rule is Trousers/bottoms on at the table.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2017 10:16

The good thing about joules is that you can flog it on eBay when your done with it.

SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2017 10:37

Also a lot of dino stuff in Next, Cag. I love dino stuff. So does DD. Pleased you can get girl dino stuff now.

SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2017 10:48

DD just poked my stomach and said I look like I'm having more babies Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2017 10:52

Ouch Sad

ememem84 · 16/07/2017 16:30

£11.96 in shop on ice lollies, dark chocolate and red magazine. The magazine was £4.50!!!!!!!!! had a free mascara worth £24

Spent this afternoon watching tennis and baking a chocolate guinnes cake. Which has expanded and is about to explode from the oven. Spells amaze though.

This morning I went for a float about in the sea.

CremeEggThief · 16/07/2017 16:30

NSD.

ememem84 · 16/07/2017 17:56

I'll just leave this here. It's not the best looking cake. It burned a bit and I'm covered in chocolate mix. But the sponge is tasty as.

Jolly japes in July (only if they are frugal)...!
SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2017 18:26

That looks delish. I really fancy some cake but apparently I need to go on a diet (see earlier post).
