Oooh the old "did you mean to be so rude" and my personal fave "sorry I didn't quite catch that could you repeat it"

Used frequently with mil when she deigns to speak to me she asked after me the other day Shock well I think it was me. She asked dh "and how is she doing?"

So far today I've visited dm and df had a cup of tea. And come home again. I was meant to go to the shop but dh called and said he'd got bacon for blts on the way back from work. Mmm.

I do talk a lot about food don't I

LonelyOversharer · 15/07/2017 13:37

fluffy yes, I'm really good at recouping my spends from the shop! Each race guy pays £25 entry fee, but when all's said and done and everyone is paid, we make about a hundred quid from each race. Dp does it for the love of the sport, not the money!

Have been to gap and returned the shorts that were the wrong size, 14.99 back, great. Then spent £70. Not so good. But then got £30 'gap cash' to spend next time, so ok! £30 on bras in the m&s outlet. I am between a 30 and 32 back, c or d cup - so nothing fits. Ugh. £27 asda on butter and snacks and crap mostly, never go shopping when you're hungry! £38 fuel to fill my littlecar, will get this back.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2017 13:41

Oh good because not everyone would do so.

em you're still having caffeine? 😂

Taytocrisps · 15/07/2017 13:41

I'm still in my dressing gown Blush. It's blissful though. DH and DD have gone off to play pitch and putt and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet after a hectic few weeks. Should be a NSD.

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 14:42

Yep fluffy couldn't survive without it!! 😂🤣 i have cut it down dramatically though. Before I would have maybe averaged 8 cups of tea/coffee a day. Then had issues sleeping go figure since finding out about the boy I have two morning cups of tea (normal tea) or maybe three if ones an earl grey then switch to decaf. And am sleeping loads better.

Everyone keeps asking me whether I'm exhausted yet. I keep saying yes but only start really feeling it at about 930/10pm. So I go to bed crash out sleep until 6/630 then get up (if a work day) or if not like today tend to only stay in bed until about 9/930. I'm fairly active throughout the day so am hoping that the more I do the more energy I'll have. I'm doing less that I was this time last year but still keeping active iykwim.

Dh was just saying (while I was stuffing my face with blt) how proud he is of me for how well I'm doing 😊 #smug he expected me to be a nightmare moany preggo. I've had a couple of moany moments but on the whole have been fairly chill and calm and can't complain mustn't grumble I reiterate that so far I've been very lucky. Minimal symptoms etc. I know people who have had things far far worse than me. So I shouldn't complain that I'm a little bit tired near to bedtime...!

Think I've worked out why catface was spooked. New neighbours upstairs must be a herd of elephants. They have a small boy. And I can only guess they let him jump off the couch into the floor. Or he just likes jumping. My god they're noisy. And washing machine and hoovering at 10pm...not allowed in our building. Had enough today and mentioned it to our building manager who lives here too. She's had issues with them this week they've only been here a week! and is going to have a word with the letting agent. She didn't realise until Wednesday that a family had moved in. Apparently if you own an apartment you can have kids. But not if you rent. I checked out deeds and 'tis true.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2017 14:58

I was only teasing. I wouldn't have given up caffeine. I suppose technically in breach of their lease then?.

£12 Stripey boden vest.

The capsule wardrobe is working well, just need more white boden vests.

£15.90 of cashback claimed from tcb, I think it was lonely who joined using my link so thank you. I cocked up and got a love to shop voucher which is postal from them Hmm. I'll never learn to keep things simple I really won't.

Waitrose sent me four £15 off £100 vouchers 😊 But the site won't let me book a slot.

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 15:17

I know you were.

Techniy I think it's the landlord who's in breach. They own the property. They're in breach of their deeds by letting to a family. However the family are in breach because they aren't abiding by the "house" rules as it were. Sigh.

I've never had a capsule wardrobe. That'd be such a nice thing to have. I like the idea. Less fuss everything goes with everything.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2017 15:44

Mmmm caffeine. Well specifically coke/Pepsi for me. I really enjoy it on tap so have it at a pub/with a meal out. Really enjoyed my nice cold pint today :o

Frugal fail. Left my cable on the bus, this is the disadvantage of having USB charging points at every bus seat. Bought two new ones as on buy one get one half price. Will keep one in my bag, might actually sew it into the lining so it can't escape Hmm :o

Frugal win, well sort of, turns out DH doesn't have to do tax return for his earnings from sports coaching, he can just phone up and add it to his PAYE from work, and they'll take the tax via his pay. Easy! And will make it much easier with tax credits etc too. I had no idea he could do that but apparently if you earn less than £2.5k on top of your actual wages they don't want you to register for self assessment. Win!

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 16:07

cag ooooh pub Pepsi/Coke is the best (well as is McDonald's/cinema stuff). It just tastes different. I think it's because sorry if this grosses you out if you weren't aware it's a syrup which they run carbonated water through. Worked In many a pub me.

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 16:08

Currently dinner prepping. 5spice and ginger chicken crispy chicken wantons with Singapore rice. Chicken has been minced and cooked. Rice is cooking so I can fry it later.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2017 16:13

Yes it totally tastes better I think even though it's just syrup! I don't really enjoy it from cans/bottles (although at a push, cans taste better than bottles...) so that made it a lot easier to cut back TBH. I did buy a can of pepsi when we were away (baby was being particularly still that day so I opted for cold sugary stuff as a wake up attempt) - threw it away halfway because yuck.

Baby has totally made up for her still day now BTW. Kicking the crap out of me and I seem to already have reached the stage of needing to pee all the time 😭

CremeEggThief · 15/07/2017 16:17

I absolutely loathe Coke, Pepsi and any diet forms of them. I haven't had them for years! Although I love tea and coffee.

NSD. Binge watching Wimbledon finals. Very disappointed with the women's final ending, so hoping for good men's and women's doubles finals this afternoon/evening. DS is going out for a pizza with his friends later for a birthday meal for one of them, and I have a freezer pizza and cans of Pimms and lemonade, so I'm happy with that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2017 16:28

Nsd so far but dis and I are going for takeaway. Did and do staying overnight before little mix. My god my anxiety is sky high and I will be pleased when they are in the car on the way home. I'm stressing over her getting lost in the crowds. 15,700 people at Durham riverside today for the gig.
Think I might bake for tomorrow tournament or I might just throw money at it and buy cakes.
Ps stains urges are doing the vue/ pizza express offer again. 1000 points for either 2 cinema tickets or pizza. I'm going to redeem 4000 as a holiday treat. Maybe seeing cars 3

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 16:38

cag aaaah the needing to pee stage. I know it well. During the day it's almost an hourly occurrence for me. If I know there's a loo nearby.

Mummysh0rtlegs · 15/07/2017 16:39

My anxiety is so through the roof, we were supposed to go and have dinner with Lew's colleague I have never met before I do a 10 mile overnight walk. I have had to say I am not going. He has explained I have severe social anxiety and today is a bad day. First time we have ever been honest about why I haven't gone out.

£7.99 on a long sleeved running top to wear under my bib for my walk. I am hoping all the gym classes and spinning mean I will cope with 10 miles on my dodgy hip. I've done some 7/8 milers but not the whole 10.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2017 16:53

Mummy that's really good you have been open about it Thanks

It's so annoying isn't it em I thought I had a little longer before the second need to pee stage (the first being the first trimester due to hormones, that disappeared around the same time the nausea did this time) but nope. TBF I think it's because of where baby's feet are rather than the general weight of the baby. So maybe it'll ease off if she moves?!

SnugglySnerd · 15/07/2017 17:00

Funnily enough I hate cola normally but craved it in the last few weeks of pregnancy. My doctor friend thought maybe I needed more calories than I could physically eat so my body made me drink them instead.

Did a top up shop and have spent the day playing with DD. Have really enjoyed it.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2017 17:11

DH doesn't like anything like that either. Lemonade is his weakness. Also dandelion and burdock which he never has at home, I am going to try and get him some of the fentimans one as he had some in a restaurant on holiday.

I got hooked on Pepsi max in second pregnancy Confused never had any major ongoing cravings though. Unless sugar and carbs in general count!

Glad you've had a better day snuggly :)

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2017 18:16

Fizzy pop is a no here. Rare lemonade is as much as I get. I've been know to order a cuppa in a pub. Grin

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 18:50

life I've never done that. I know you can. But never done it. Not hot chocolate.

Even on cold days after wet windy walks. I still go for cold soft drinks. Weird

CremeEggThief · 15/07/2017 19:04

Oh I love coffee and hot chocolate in the pub. There weren't many cafes in my home town, so from early teens, I used to meet my parents in the pub, if we were in town at the same times, and have a filter coffee (posh in those days, when everyone drank instant at home!), and in my late teens, I often went to a pub at lunchtime or after school with friends in our school uniforms, but we always chose coffee. Ah, memories!Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2017 19:13

I do get some strange looks but frankly I don't give a knack.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2017 19:19

DH usually orders tea in pubs. Gets some funny looks from the blokes propping up the bar but he doesn't care. He loves tea :o

CremeEggThief · 15/07/2017 19:40

Even in the daytime, Cag and Life? I don't think I've ever ordered tea or coffee in a pub at night, but definitely in Ireland it was very normal in the day, probably as there weren't many cafés or coffee shops around.

100yearsdotcom · 15/07/2017 19:46

Thanks furchester! Is 2 minutes right? Or is that a typo? x
