That's fab about your DD Girlie, she has been through a lot in the last year. She can enjoy the summer now and then her new adventure up to high school. I always feel better having a tidy and clean house for guest, none of them care in the slightest but it makes me feel better.

I'm sat down too with a G&T. Dinner is prepped, house is tidy, on top of washing, even got brownies in the oven. I'm knackered too, have told DH that I am sleeping in tomorrow and no one is getting me up. I honestly can't remember my last lie in. Btw, DD is in the process of clearing out her wardrobe, so any equine things we find, I'll message you. x

Forgot, cleaner £30.

But sent back ALL my M&S order, and ALL of the Next sale stuff so no spends in this regard. Just waiting for this top from Boden.

I score the sticker and soak for a while and then mix up a poultice of bicarb and oil and smear it on and leave it, that loosens it. And is food safe.

100yearsdotcom · 14/07/2017 18:46

Lol @ cag and em I wouldn't mind but the prosecco wasn't even that good! HmmGrinWine

100yearsdotcom · 14/07/2017 18:57

NSD yesterday and £70 today weekly shop will probably be spending on a takeaway tomorrow but I'm so knackered that I'm ignoring how unfrugal that is....

SnugglySnerd · 14/07/2017 21:07

I use white vinegar to shift sticky residue from labels.

I have a cold. The babies have colds. DH thinks he's getting a cold. I expect DD will also get it. It might be a trying few days...

ememem84 · 14/07/2017 21:16

To be fair sunny I've used wd40 on stickers on the floor, shoes, wardrobes etc (we've bought a lot of secondhand furniture) but not on something I was going to eat off. I'd have said it'd be ok though as it'll be washed before you use it.

100yearsdotcom · 14/07/2017 22:08

Aww snuggly FlowersGinWineCake

In other news, I may have fallen into the jojomamanbebe sale.... managed to restrain myself to £15 thankfully.....

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/07/2017 22:10

£2 crisps
£25 petrol to get home.
£5.60 ferry.

If you warm a sticker with a hairdryer it comes off in one piece.

Taytocrisps · 14/07/2017 22:47

So glad it's Friday! I had a tough week back at work.

Today we got a letter from our bank to say that their quarterly fees are increasing from €3.81 - €18 Angry. That's a hell of an increase! I wonder how the other banks compare?

Taytocrisps · 14/07/2017 22:50

em There's a nice thread in Chat called 'Things you love about being a mum* (or something like that). You might like it.

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2017 03:19

Thanks for the sticker tips. The hairdryer and oil options sound good. I must try those next time. I have sticky stuff remover, but it smells exactly like WD40, that might not entirely be a coincidence, now I think about it. Smile

WreckTangled · 15/07/2017 06:30

Night one of the hen do done. Definitely not drinking tonight! I can't sleep because it's so hot and the seagulls are so loud!

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 07:39

Morning all.

Today's spends probably around £25 in shop for dinner things - crispy pork ginger wantons and Singapore rice, and ingredients for chocolate Guinness cake. Mmm.

Tidying up flat today. It's a bit of a state. 😩

Catface is tearing around the place at present. She keeps running in, jumping on bed, pouncing either me or dh shouting "mrrrrrrowp" then bouncing off. That girl has waaaaaay too much energy.

tayto I'll have a look at that thread.

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/07/2017 08:15

Hope you have a good time wreck

And sunny with the camping and the M&S food Smile

People love to share their opinions em but glad you got your lunch. You always have such nice sounding things to eat

Feeling really rubbish with my hay fever. I think my nose has been running so much I am now really chesty and coughing lots. Seriously considering a trip to the Drs next week to see if they can prescribe something stronger. Or am I being unreasonable and time wasting? Nasal sprays make me sneeze more and over the counter tablets are barely helping

Hoping for a LSD.

Yesterday I spent £40 on a hair cut and was then persuaded to buy a £30 serum. I think I am a soft touch! Hairdresser also said my hair was really dry and I think this may be the Boots shampoo which is also making my scalp itchy.

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/07/2017 08:16

DP has just brought me tea and toast in bed though

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2017 08:35

I'd go to the dr bacon, I had px antihistamines for my milk allergy & they're the best.

ememem84 · 15/07/2017 09:05

Some people don't seem to think they're just opinions though bacon

I'd been warned when I was first pg that everyone and his dog would have advice and opinions. I guess I just didn't believe it would actually happen.

I imagine it'll get worse once baby boy is here though.

We are very lucky here in that a lot of our cafes restaurants bars serve amazing food. Spoiled is the word I'd use. I think, in our 45sq miles we have something like 8 Michelin starred restaurants, then about a gazillion super yum places.

Yesterday I was debating a salmon cream cheese galette or a croque Madame (toasted cheese and ham with fried egg on top - croque Monsieur being just cheese and ham). Then found the best of both worlds. Croque saumon. Mm it had to be french food yesterday as it was Bastille day. Vive la revolution!

ImAFurchester · 15/07/2017 10:33

Morning all!

em if you think it's bad in pregnancy wait til you actually have the baby!! DS is 16 months and a stranger on the bus the other day told me he shouldn't still have a dummy at his age Confused

Doing a big clear out today & been doing some baking with the cupboard odds and ends. Just made baked oaty bites out of frozen berries, oats and mashed banana - yum. Will do DS for a few days' worth of snacks.

LonelyOversharer · 15/07/2017 10:35

Definitely go to the GP bacon I have some px anti histamines, like fluffy, they're bloody excellent. I'm dust intolerant. As soon as I stir it up I'm hopeless for a week. So I leave it alone now, and if I have to clean I take a tablet first! Dp has already has a pollen triggered asthma attack this year, they won't think you're time wasting.

Got a few bits to buy today, race tomorrow, so in the throes of baking. Need more butter. Lots more. I do get a giggle from watching such health concious cyclists hoovering up my cake, they have no idea how much butter and cream (and condensed milk!) there is in it. It's just what they need after a race though, as most of them barely eat or take recovery stuff as it has evil calories in.

Horse won last night, so have finally transferred the cash out of the bookies. It was one of those, bet the free bet x many to withdraw, and the bloody horses kept winning (you bet on win and lose, so I was only trying to transfer money, wasn't winning loads).

em your posts always make me hungry!

wreck have a good day!

sunny have a great time camping this weekend.

Have a great day everyone!

100yearsdotcom · 15/07/2017 11:11

Ooh furchester recipe please? Smile

I'm keeping the mumsnet "did you mean to be so rude?" In my repertoire in case of opinionated arses people. Thankfully I've not had anything to bother about so far though!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2017 11:32

Lonely I hope the business pays for all the butter etc? It's a legitimate expense if your charging an entry fee for the races. Are their any online catering companies who could sell you the big sizes?.

£75 cattery.

SnugglySnerd · 15/07/2017 11:39

Thanks 100. I've been eyeing up the Jojo sale too and trying to resist.

Didn't get anyour Scholastic books in the end but I did get a set of 10 audio books for £10 which might occupy DD for a while and save us on long journeys. They are good ones like Elmer, several Julia Donaldsons, Miffy and Hairy McClary so she should enjoy them.

I have a collection of small games from charity shops, colouring books, stickers , magazines to cut up and do sticking and now these cds which I'm going to produce at stressful moments over the school holidays. Nothing has cost more than £1.99 and I've spent about 20 quid in total plus saved a few bits from party bags.

ImAFurchester · 15/07/2017 11:54

100

Mix 2 mashed bananas with 2 mugfuls of oats, 150ml milk, 150g frozen berries, 1 beaten egg and 3 tbsp maple syrup or honey. Spoon into a greased muffin tin (makes about 9) and bake for 2 mins at 180.

You can leave out the maple syrup/honey if watching sugar - I like sweet things :)
