SCHOOL UNIFORM BANK thread

Queenofknickers · 26/06/2015 18:37

Hi, I wanted to be clear about the thread I started before - it's not a swap, so nothing is required in return! It's for the perfectly good uniform items that you might otherwise give to charity. This way we can support each other in our mumsnet community.

I've got several pairs of boys black school trousers aged 8-9 with adjustable waists. Free to good home and I'm happy to post just PM me Smile

I have quite a few girls blue school shirts age 6 and 7 if anybody could use them

glenthebattleostrich · 28/06/2015 19:29

I have a grey m&s Jersey pinafore size 7-8
Grey Jersey skirt size 7-8
Grey circle type skirt size 7-8
Bottle green asda Cardigan size 4-5
Bottle green Cardigan size 7-8
2 white polo shirts 7-8

All apart from the small Cardigan are m&s. I'm going to bleach the polo shirts to get them back to proper white and I'll repair a small tear in the asda Cardigan where its been on a book.

I've also got loads of casual clothes bagged up.

Pair of size 11 black plimsolls and a pair of pink floral start rite shoes in a 10.5.

If they are of use please shout up.

At the end of term I'll also have 3 green check asda summer dresses in 7-8

HammerToFall · 28/06/2015 19:32

Keepontrying - I have two pits of girls grey school trousers age 6-7 but they are not massive if they would be any good? If so just pm me your address and I'll send them on

monkeyfacegrace · 28/06/2015 19:42

Hey happy to wade in here, I'm shame free Grin

I will need boys grey/black shorts and trousers age 7-8.
And bright blue jumpers in age 7-9 and 11-12.

In return, I can offer Nike purple trainers in size 2, Clarks girls brogues in size 2, PE shorts in age 5 x 2 pairs, black skirts in age 8-9 x 2.

BUT, I'm not really in need as such. So if anybody more deserving comes along please put me to the bottom of the list.

Anyone's welcome to my offerings. Just want them out the pile labeled 'to go'!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 28/06/2015 19:52

I am not sure any of our uniform has survived the first year of school unless anyone is magical at removing apparently washable black pen then you are welcome to 3 or 4 aged 4 red sweatshirts.

I will have a couple m+s white polo shirts age 4 in couple weeks

I would love some age 4 grey trousers for a boy please and any 5-6 black sweatshirts or jumpers please and 5-6 white polo shirts please.

Queenofknickers · 28/06/2015 20:04

PenguinOfDeath79 · 28/06/2015 23:41

(should say those are women's sizes - not ages ^^ )

TheFutureMrsB · 28/06/2015 23:45

Eastmids I'd love the red sweatshirts and polo t-shirts if they are still available, my youngest is going up to reception so needs to have uniform, being a big age gap between him and his brothers I haven't kept anything to hand down to him like I did for them lol

flossyfloo · 29/06/2015 00:01

anotherbloody If those DM's are still available my DD would love them please? She got bought some previously but has outgrown them and I know she would love another pair.
I have bits and pieces of uniform that I will go through this week to offer.

FieryWill · 29/06/2015 00:07

AccordingToOurRecords thanks so much, I've pm'd you.

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 29/06/2015 06:51

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 29/06/2015 06:53

I also have a pair of size 12 black boot cut trousers from Tesco that have been worn once. They would be suitable for school trousers.

Thank you to the poster who started this thread and to the wonderful people who have messaged me offering help. DD is now covered thanks to the amazing generosity of posters here. Thank you again you've really been amazing.

TheJiminyConjecture · 29/06/2015 09:56

Just place marking so I can add what I have at the end of term.

Will be light blue and white polos and grey dress/skirt/trousers in 5-6.

Just need to sort through to make sure all bits are good enough to pass on.

Grumpyoldblonde · 29/06/2015 10:43

I have sent out some promised parcels this morning and was very pleased to find out that postage costs seem a bit more reasonable than they once were so I thought this is worth mentioning If anyone wants to send bits but thought the postage costs may be prohibitive, the cost of parcels has definitely lowered.

shadesofwinter · 29/06/2015 11:21

I have 2 pairs of grey shorts, age 7-8 (outgrown so I can send straight away).

Pale grey trackie bottoms in 7-8.

Also have some black plimsolls in 12 1/2G.

Please PM me if you'd like these - not sure when I'll get to check back.

tiredvommachine · 29/06/2015 12:39
