...and if they did, they wouldn't get sick, and they wouldn't even know they had it'

America calls this man "The Science" and every word he uttered back then and now, people take as absolute fact and truth.

On basis of his statement above, unvaccinated people were torn apart, shamed, demonised etc

Why wasn't all that shit he said classed as misinformation considering it wasn't true? Why won't he ever get de-platformed, or censored.

Why would a man of his expertise say things that aren't accurate? If he can openly spread false information such as the above, what else has he misled the world about since 2021 until now that heavily impacted peoples lives?

I think he deserves everyone an explanation (that was what we knew at the time bullsh*t) and an apology. Any one else agree?

Do you honestly feel, or know, based on the evidence that everyone onto planet had a better chance (at fighting off Covid) with the vaccine than natural infection?

I am really struggling with this one @statementstate

People have a better chance at fighting off COVID by getting the virus that causes COVID?

Both vaccination and infection contribute towards immunity against repeat infection and severe disease (though both relatively short lived)

It's abundantly clear that people who managed to get vaccinated prior to their first SARS-COV-2 infection showed better outcomes than those who did not.

Howtostart · 26/03/2023 20:43

My dad died on 5/3. Vaccinated at every time they were requested to do so. Went in to hospital with a chest infection BUT despite NO COVID prevention in January he contracted COVID which caused Kidney failure ...

Soooooooooo pissed off that death certificate says 'Kidney failure' ... which would NOT have happened if not for COVID ... yet another of the 'excess deaths ' not assigned to COVID .. because it's gone init ????

I agree OP. I still haven’t recovered from it.
I quietly chose to take my chance with infection rather than the vaccine as was entirely my right to do.
I was shouted at by a friend, vilified and accused of many things not least stupidly and not “trusting science”.
i absolutely feel apologies are due but I am not holding my breath

What exactly do you want apologies for? I must admit I'm confused by statements like this.

These complaints come across to me a bit as ‘now the largest peak of the crisis has passed and I benefitted from everyone that did get the vaccination when I refused, I would now like an apology from them based on anecdotal evidence of me surviving (whilst being surrounded by vaccinated people) plus the recent YouTube pundit research. I will conveniently ignore the millions of people that died before being able to get hold of the vaccination because people getting upset with me was worse than that. I will also conveniently ignore the fact that my childhood vaccinations are also part of the reason I’m alive. Where’s my apology again?’

exactly.

Possibly an apology for vaccine mandates would be a start but tbh, there's no way that could ever be enough

Where do you think we’d be now, without the vaccines?

You're a victim and require apologies because ... scientists and governments did their best to keep people from severe illness and death? I'm so, so sorry this happened to you.

I strongly sense that some people while trying to prove Fauci wrong are actually far more concerned with proving themselves (in all their Facebook spouting, YouTubing on toilet seating, doing their own research, Great Reset with a few toxic male celebrities thrown in) right.

Yeah, a pandemic happened and a lot of scientists did their best (we’re certainly in a better position now?!) and some people did their worst (hey Boris). And some people took the advice at the time in the hope it was the best for the whole. And some people didn’t and are still spouting shit.

This.

NewContender · 27/03/2023 07:06

I’ve seen this ‘where’s my apology?’ thing a few times now. It’s like the output of the algorithm that drove anti-vaccine etc etc is now on this angle.

The Victim Stance.

Oblomov23 · 27/03/2023 07:45

And? He wasn't wrong mainly was he? Most people who are vaccinated who get it now, it isn't too bad, they don't die.

Many people lost their jobs
if you can't see that a vaccine mandate is problematic, then can we please hve forced sterilisation in this overpopulated hellhole? That would benefit everyone, just like a vax mandate.

Yep.

EmmaEmerald · 27/03/2023 08:45

pixie5121 "Virtually every single family would have lost someone, probably multiple people, to Covid."

so with Chris Whitty, Patrick Vallance etc saying the vast majority would get a mild infection, prior to vaccines being developed, you still think the above?

sunglassesonthetable · 27/03/2023 08:58

Yep logical.

sunglassesonthetable · 27/03/2023 09:01

This overpopulated hell hole

This extreme negativity is such a theme with people who come at as anti Covid vaccine.

Most people just had the vax and got on with it.

What, you don't think the country is over populated?

sunglassesonthetable · 27/03/2023 09:21

What, you don't think the country is over populated?

You conveniently skipped the " hell hole" bit.

DecayedStrumpet · 27/03/2023 09:22

Do you honestly feel, or know, based on the evidence that everyone onto planet had a better chance (at fighting off Covid) with the vaccine than natural infection?

If you get a vaccine you've had Covid 0 times.
If you get Covid instead, you've had Covid 1 time.

So by definition, having a vaccine is better than having Covid at stopping you getting Covid Confused

Or did you mean natural immunity rather than natural infection?
Vaccinated people still have their natural immunity you know, the vaccine is on top of that.

I mean, I feel like maybe logic isn't the way forward here, but surely that ^ makes sense?

Where I live, it's an overcrowded hell hole.

sunglassesonthetable · 27/03/2023 09:39

Where I live, it's an overcrowded hell hole.

I'm sorry that's the case.

And that's my point. There often seems to be a lot of negativity around this viewpoint. Maybe where you live contributes to that.

Jonei · 27/03/2023 09:50

I'm not sure what your point is. The overpopulated hell hole in which I live contributes to my negativity about the compulsory vaccination in my job? Is that what you're saying? They are two separate issues.

EmmaEmerald · 27/03/2023 09:51

I find there's a lot of anti vaxxers who think it's a plot to reduce population.

I had the vaccine btw, being anti vax mandate doesn't make a person anti vax
