Covis cases on a rapid rise, heading towards 100,000 daily cases. Are we heading for another lockdown?

Nope

Daisy03 · 19/03/2022 07:08

Nope

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 19/03/2022 07:08

Not in a 109 years.

MushroomCow99 · 19/03/2022 07:08

No, they have no money for lockdown.
Besides you can't go from no restrictions to a lockdown that's insane.

It's a case of just get on with it.

DockOTheBay · 19/03/2022 07:09

Nah

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 19/03/2022 07:09

Or even, 100…109 was quite specific!

GeneLovesJezebel · 19/03/2022 07:09

No, never.

What about 110?
DockOTheBay · 19/03/2022 07:09

Haha cross posted!

GiveMeNovocain · 19/03/2022 07:10

😂 no

EvilPea · 19/03/2022 07:11

No. It’s the hospital numbers to watch not the case numbers.

Ylvamoon · 19/03/2022 07:12

Why?

PotteringAlong · 19/03/2022 07:13

We don’t need a lockdown. Hospitalisations are low, death rates are low.

myfavperson · 19/03/2022 07:14

No chance

ApolloandDaphne · 19/03/2022 07:21

That will not happen.

PrescriptionOnlyMedicine · 19/03/2022 07:21

I like specifics Grin

I don’t think we’ll ever need to lockdown again.

linerforlife · 19/03/2022 07:22

There will not be a lockdown. More deaths have been caused from lack of access to routine care during the pandemic than by covid itself. The government is accountable for this. Another lockdown will not happen.

Coriandersucks · 19/03/2022 07:23

They’ve removed all restrictions and are actively encouraging people to accept strangers into their homes. Why on earth would you think we would be headed for a lockdown?

LaurieFairyCake · 19/03/2022 07:24

No, very few deaths

We don't lock down if no one is dying

DobbyTheHouseElk · 19/03/2022 07:24

Some posters would love a lockdown 🤣

No, it won’t happen. Find another hobby.

Luredbyapomegranate · 19/03/2022 07:26

Nope.

Are you bored?

BeryltheMenaceneePeril · 19/03/2022 07:26

Next

x2boys · 19/03/2022 07:26

I doubt it ,numbers were higher than this at Xmas and we didn't lock down
If hospital admission,s and deaths started rising then ,they may have to bring back more restrictions, but I think the risess would have to be dramatic.

hamstersarse · 19/03/2022 07:27

Given lockdowns don’t work and only achieve a reduction in infections of 0.2%, all the while destroying the economy, jobs, education, mental health….yeah, good idea!

Juno22 · 19/03/2022 07:27

No of course not. There is a big difference between people catching covid and getting really sick and the original aim was always to protect the NHS.

I don't know of anyone under the age of 80 who has died of covid (not that their lives aren't equally valuable, I'm just stating a fact) and only know 3 people who were hospitalised, all of whom recovered fully. We are now living with it in the way we do with colds and flu.
