What are you reasons for not getting the booster?

@NannaMcPhoo

Will not be getting the booster. I have not had the first and second vaccine, nor have I ever had a test in the two years this circus has been going on!!. in addition, I have never once worn a mask when out shopping

I can understand and respect the choice of not getting a vaccine. However deciding not to wear a mask only makes you a selfish prat.

Yes I agree

Most people don't even wear the correct mask for protection anyway so its almost a moot point!

I wear a mask to protect myself from other people to be honest. I dont put it on thinking oh im so glad I'll be protecting other people! I do it for me!

Viruses generally mutate to become more transmissible but less deadly

More transmissibility is effectively more deadly if hospital care is required.

Paddingtonthebear · 15/12/2021 20:20

I can’t decide. Had AZ 1 in March and AZ 2 in May and then Covid in October. Will probably get the booster in Jan or Feb, but undecided at the moment.

What's the point? When my husband got Omicron, I didn't. I think it's because I had a flu jab and that seemed to be all I needed.

He was mildly sick for 4 days with Covid yet the Pfizer jab made me sick months. People like me should be exempt but the doctors said that month of being unable to leave the house each time was a "normal side affect," as well the mini strokes I had with each one, but I am not exempt.

Thr vaccine shouldn't make you sicker than the thing it's trying to protect you from.

I currently have Omicron and have only just been invited for my booster today, as I only had the second vaccine in October. What's the point in me having the booster when I'll have already had Omicron and only a runny nose? That's my only symptom!

Cases are currently much lower and less severre amongst those who’ve had the booster.

However, I’d be very interested to know much of this is because those you haven’t had the booster are as prone to doing other stupid things.

Example: in booster clinic, everyone I saw was properly wearing a mask and taking care to distance. Everywhere else I’ve been, plenty of people are too ignorant and selfish to even wear a mask or give others any space.

That makes no sense, yet you call others stupid. Pot and kettle spring to mind.

That’s really concerning that the doctors don’t think these side effects should be taken seriously.
ThatWasThat · 29/12/2021 18:14

Siwa. Just because your husband had mild symptoms does not mean you would.clearly you are already vulnerable.

KeepingAnOpenMind · 29/12/2021 18:59

No thanks

Siwa · 29/12/2021 22:09

I seem to be less vulnerable than people who had three jabs and still got it if I can share a flat with someone and test negative every day.

mariebaby3 · 29/12/2021 22:26

I’ve had mine. Whether or not I’ll have any more after this I don’t know. Depends on how it goes.

Two vaccinations in one year is enough for me. It’s not like I’m elderly or CEV so will wait and see how I feel in 2022.

blameitonthecaffeine · 30/12/2021 06:18

BooksandGin Is that a real badge? It's very offensive...?

ThatWasThat · 30/12/2021 21:17

Siwa. You might not catch it easily, presumably helped by your jabs, but if got it, you might get sicker than other people

Sportslady44 · 31/12/2021 14:21

not planning on it at the moment as i feel two jabs are enough in one year.

Dont want to keep being jabbed when we dont know the long term etc.

Thankfully not got it yet and hope not too. Hoping if i do its not to bad.
