Hello 👋
I'm a 36, almost 37 year old female who is double vaccinated with pfizer.
2nd dose was mid August, so able to have a booster.

HOWEVER... I am wanting to hold off from the booster....I believe its messed with my periods a little also. Cannot get a Dr's appointment to discuss this.
I'd also like to wait and see how the next couple of weeks to months play out. I'm not an anti vaxxer, I'm not saying I won't eventually have it.

I am careful, masks, cancelled events in the run up to Christmas. Careful with my 7 year old. We all as a household do lft regularly. Social distance where possible.

SO WOULD YOU JUDGE ME?
would you say I should feel awkward sat in a room of say 5 people who have had 3 jabs knowing I've only had 2? Would you exclude me from family things?

Thanks, I understand this could get heated just wondering people thoughts

I’m pro vaccine but it’s your body and your decision. Don’t discuss it with other people. Their personal views are just that. It shouldn’t impact on your choice. I’m clinically extremely vulnerable and immunocompromised but I happily mix with all sorts of people. I would mix with the unvaccinated or unboosted. Anyone who wouldn’t, well, why do you want to be with them?!

@BurnedToast

So when the virus mutates again , and it will. That will be another booster. Will that be in 3 months, a year? No one knows. That's what worries me about this mass vaccination approach. We will all end up having regular vaccines for something many if us are not particularly at risk of.
How are we two years into this and people still think it's about personal risk?

How!!??

FflosFfantastig · 11/12/2021 11:58

Not at all. Most normal people wouldn't either.
Do a LFT. Enjoy! Ignore any bullying.

Thegreymethod · 11/12/2021 19:46

I'm not having the booster for the exact reason as you, I don't really care if anyone judges me if they've not spent the majority of this year on their periods they don't get an opinion. Mine messed from my first one, I still had my second, where will it end, will their be another booster after this one??!!
I wouldn't judge anyone for the vaccine status it's got nothing to do with me what anyone chooses puts in their body.

@Ceramide

I wouldn't judge you but I wonder why you think it's the cause of changes in your periods. I think there are so many other more likely explanations.
Because it's becoming very well known that the vaccine can mess your cycle up. Do a bit of research, it's being reported that over 30,000 women have had the same effects and that's just the ones who've reported it.
Lovemylittlebear · 11/12/2021 19:50

No I wouldn’t judge you at all but I would be inclined to judge people that outwardly judged you.

sweetpaws · 11/12/2021 19:52

I wouldn't judge you at all, I've not had mine yet either. I'm double jabbed (well, it's questionable because I don't think the second one was done properly - most seemed to run down my arm) but I had covid a couple of months ago and I just don't fancy the booster right now. I'm hoping I've got a bit of vaccine immunity and a bit of natural immunity for now.

The main reason I don't want my booster right now is that if it's as transmissable as they say it is, I really don't want to be queueing with masses of people in a vaccination centre, I can't see how the vaccination centres won't end up being mass spreading events if it passes as easily between people as they seem to be suggesting.

Wedowonder · 11/12/2021 22:49

This is a bit off topic, but will we need a booster every time there is a mutation?

There are 9 variants now... So from now onwards will we be expected to have a vaccine every time it mutates?

I wouldn’t judge you. Why would I ? It’s none of my business.
RedQueen81 · 11/12/2021 23:18

You shouldn't be judged or made to feel guilty or irresponsible. Hope your cycle gets back to normal soon and your family/ friends are reasonable this holiday season.

squiddybear · 11/12/2021 23:25

I had my booster and I also have had/continue to have period issues.

My rational was that the damage is done now so why not get it
