I haven’t as far as I know and I’m absolutely lost as to how I haven’t as I’m a teacher and loads of our kids and staff have it.

OP posts:
superram · 05/12/2021 17:21

Also a teacher, not that I know of. Hoping I don’t get it in next two weeks…

ColettesEarrings · 05/12/2021 17:21

About 56 million people in the UK haven't...

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 05/12/2021 17:22

We haven't or at least haven't known a out it

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 05/12/2021 17:22

Nope, not had it.

LawnFever · 05/12/2021 17:22

I’ve not had it, even when DH had it I never caught it

insancerre · 05/12/2021 17:22

I’ve not had it even though I’ve worked in a day nursery throughout the whole thing
We have had 1 staff test positive and 1 child both in August

bloodywhitecat · 05/12/2021 17:24

Not as far as I know.

fedup65356 · 05/12/2021 17:25

If I have, I haven't known about it.

Cookerhood · 05/12/2021 17:26

Nope. In our family only one (student) has had it. DD works in different places every day with children & I can't believe she hasn't had it yet. DS parties & hasnt had it either.
None of the adults our age have had it, although I know oldies who have died sadly. Most people's teenage/20 something children seem to have had it.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 05/12/2021 17:26

I haven't.
Neither has my dh who has worked all through the lockdowns.

manolantern · 05/12/2021 17:27

Had this thread earlier today:

oopsydoopsy · 05/12/2021 17:27

No. I work in as school, my DH travels extensively for work, eldest DS at College, none of us have had it. Youngest DS had had it, no symptoms, none of us caught it. Just had my booster so hoping it stays that way.

LindaBlinda · 05/12/2021 17:27

I haven't.

Not sure how I dodged it as everyone else in my house has and I've not isolated from them.

GreekGod · 05/12/2021 17:27

I haven't. DH got it and 3 teenage DC but not me. Plus I work in a busy office and I am in a court room full of lawyers every day and half the lawyers over here have had it twice. Having said that, I was on a flight in Summer 2019 from the UK to Cyprus and I got so sick (pre-Covid) and was in bed for 2 weeks and couldn't move but just put it down to a bad case of summer flu but possibly it was Covid and I didn't realise it ??

CeeceeBloomingdale · 05/12/2021 17:27

Not to my knowledge although one of my kids had it.

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/12/2021 17:28

Not had it, but most of the people i work with have had it. Work in care, only 3 of us have not had it.

EmeraldShamrock · 05/12/2021 17:28

I haven't.
DP has worked in retail throughout and unfortunately is positive ATT.
I'm raging it is in the house, he is isolating in the bedroom.
I'm like a dinner lady.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 05/12/2021 17:29

Me.

I’m fully vaccinated and have taken required precautions but I’m also lucky in that I don’t have school ages children and WFH, so can really limit my contacts.

ProfYaffle · 05/12/2021 17:29

None of us have had it. I'm working on the theory that we're naturally immune Grin

@vodkaredbullgirl That's great.
I hope it continues for you.

trumpisagit · 05/12/2021 17:30

No one in our house has.
DS1 has been repeatedly exposed, DS2 too although not as frequently. DH is an "essential" worker.
I don't think I know many other households with school age kids, where no one has had it, round here.

Christmas3143 · 05/12/2021 17:31

Well there was a possibility we had it early 2020. I'm no conspiracy theorist but there was a nasty nasty virus going around DC's school - they caught it wnd were extremely poorly but we will never know for sure. Other than that no, we've managed to avoid covid totally so far. Dp has been told he's a close contact this week though we are being vigilant - he's had a negative pcr but we know there's still a chance he might get it!

Loudestcat14 · 05/12/2021 17:32

We haven't – or at least we don't think so. Sometimes I think we might have had it very early on in March 2020 – OH was fluey and I felt very lethargic and had trouble breathing for two weeks –but we can't say for sure.

Shallwegoforawalk · 05/12/2021 17:36

There's been approx 10 million cases in the U.K. reported so far. Even if there's a few million more who have had but don't know/didn't test/had no symptoms that still leaves quite a few out of a population of over 66 million.

I've not had it.
