I know it’s very very very faint and I’m not even sure it’s there. Photo taken 18 minutes after a 15 minutes test. What do you think??

PennyFarting · 02/12/2021 12:19
Looks clear to me. I wouldn't take that as a positive.
Aposterhasnoname · 02/12/2021 12:19
Can’t see a thing
Thecurtainsofdestiny · 02/12/2021 12:20
No
Sexnotgender · 02/12/2021 12:21
I can see the merest hint of a line.
PrivateHall · 02/12/2021 12:21
I cannot see a 2nd line in that pic. If in doubt, take another and try to be a bit more 'thorough' in your swabbing. Good luck!
emmathedilemma · 02/12/2021 12:21
You need a second line at the T for it be positive, unless it's a bad photo I can't see any indication that's positive.
Sprostongreen21 · 02/12/2021 12:22
Can’t see a line. Even a faint one
BHX3000 · 02/12/2021 12:24
I can’t see anything. If you do another one read it at 15 minutes and then put it in the bin. No reason to check again later as the 15 minutes are already more than what the test actually needs for it to detect properly.
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:24
I can definitely see the faintest colourless line on the T when I look at it against light, can’t capture it on a photo. Doing another one now…..
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:28
Another one but this is 30 minutes post test
I feel absolutely fine, no symptoms, had booster a week ago

PrivateHall · 02/12/2021 12:30
Hmm I do see a line in that 2nd pic op. Will you have time to get a PCR test result before your flight? I would be inclined to try your best to do so. We just all had tests and results were back for us in about 19 hours.
BHX3000 · 02/12/2021 12:31
I see the faintest colourless line on that last photo. Are they 15 or 30 min tests? You shouldn’t be reading them at 30 if they’re 15 min ones.
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:32
Flight is tomorrow 11am. Will need to see if I can get a 30 minute PCR this afternoon.
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:33
BHX3000 it’s a 15 minute test but the beginning of the faint line was there at 15 minutes, I just managed to get a better photo at 30 minutes.
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:34
Getting the same faint line on a 2nd LFT. Going for the PCR then 😞
MalbecandToast · 02/12/2021 12:36
Ahhh man that's awful timing! Hope it's negative OP
PurpleDaisies · 02/12/2021 12:37
I can’t see the lines but if you can, doing a pcr is the right thing.
TokyoSushi · 02/12/2021 12:38
Oh no!! I agree that there's just a whisper of something there

The flowflex nasal only tests seem to be getting a lot of false positives. There's been a thread on MN this morning about it.
I get a faint colourless line every time I do one of these and have done for weeks/months. I've had various PCRs along the way, all negative and the other type of LFT also comes up completely negative.
I'm wondering whether it's that you can see where 2 different litmus papers cross or whether some people's saliva just always gives a shadow where the test line is.
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:44
You know what, there’s no line on the NHS LFTs but the fit to fly one has the very faint line. I think I agree with INeednewshoes it’s possible that it’s where the paper changes - that’s exactly what my husband said.
The same day PCR where I live is £169, not sure what to do! 😫

I questioned that on here last week too, whether is there always a colourless line that darkens when Covid is detected
StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 12:45
They’re exactly the flowflex nasal only ones
AdamRyan · 02/12/2021 12:47
My DS had lines like that for 2 days before getting a very strong positive LFT and covid symptoms (confirmed by PCR)
PCR results came back very quickly for us (12 hours) so if you get one now on the basis you've had positive LFT it might come back before you go?
Piggy42 · 02/12/2021 12:47
I would pay for the pcr to be sure. It sucks though.
