Apparently this is the next age group to be invited

I'm honestly not sure, as not keen on something so new, think I had covid early last year before they were testing

Yep, 44 and was on that booking site like a rat up a drainpipe at 7am this morning. Roll on Friday!

wendz86 · 26/04/2021 16:44

Yes 34 and healthy and will be having it when offered.

BrumBoo · 26/04/2021 16:45

Absolutely, as soon as I'm allowed. I know someone who lost their very healthy OH at my age to Covid, their children will grow up without a parent. In a game of Health Roulette, I want to be the one wearing as much armour as possible ta very much. I also had pleurisy a few years ago and still remember the agony. It's number 2 on my top 3 list of all time horrendous feelings, inbetween two unmedicated births. Never again will I take my respiratory system for granted.

Anyone who doesn't get it on the bases they'll take their chances are on the same idiot level as anti-vaxxers as far as I'm concerned. Their choice, but it's a bloody stupid one.

Bells3032 · 26/04/2021 16:49

I am 32 and healthy. I volunteered at vaccine centres and managed to get my second yesterday. so so happy!

TangledUp789 · 26/04/2021 16:54

I’m 33 and healthy. I would turn down the Oxford vaccine if I were invited tomorrow. I’d be happy enough to get the Pfizer vaccine eventually, but I’m in no rush. I know that, due to my personal circumstances, I’m at far lower risk of coming into contact with Covid than the average person my age. So I’d rather wait a couple of months and see what happens with Covid infections/new variants, vaccine side effects, vaccine passports for foreign travel etc.

So in short, and at this moment in time, my answer is no.

MsLumley · 26/04/2021 16:56

Yes, without hesitation.

Barbadosgirl · 26/04/2021 16:56

41 and healthy and will get it when invited.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/04/2021 16:58

I felt really tired the day after. Aches and pains. But the tiredness was the worst. Spent the day in bed sleeping on and off. By the evening I was back to normal.

Terracotta9 · 26/04/2021 17:01

No. I’ve had covid twice - both times a trivial infection.

Bigwave · 26/04/2021 17:03

yes definitely. my healthy siblings have had it and were still v ill even if just like a very bad flu. I'd rather not feel that bad for 2 weeks!

Fulloffalafel · 26/04/2021 17:06

Yes, I've just booked. Absolutely terrified of needles, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

Twizbe · 26/04/2021 17:12

I'm 37 and will have mine for sure. I'm pretty sure I had covid back in March but will still get the jab. Honestly don't see a reason not to

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 26/04/2021 17:12

I wouldn't hesitate to have it.
Dd, who's only 19, had a very mild dose of covid last autumn. She's still suffering with some pretty awful long covid symptoms now, despite previously being very healthy with absolutely no underlying conditions Sad

SockQueen · 26/04/2021 17:15

36 and healthy, have already had both doses (NHS staff).

Loads of my colleagues were volunteering for the Oxford/AZ vaccine trial last year at the beginning of the pandemic, I'd have done that too but wasn't eligible as was breastfeeding at the time.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 26/04/2021 17:17

It's a no from me. Not right now, anyway. I'm very unsure as other countries AZ age is much higher. I will wait and see. For reference I'm 42, and am allergic so cannot have Pfizer.

PurBal · 26/04/2021 17:17

Yes. And I'm pregnant.

Canyouexplainhowthatis · 26/04/2021 17:19

Yes

bluechameleon · 26/04/2021 17:20

I am 39 and have already had both doses through work. If we don't vaccinate enough people it won't work, there will be too many people for the virus to circulate amongst and we will raise the risk of mutations that are resistant to vaccines or treatment. The risk of blood clots is tiny.

OlympicProcrastinator · 26/04/2021 17:21

I had a mild headache 24 hours after I had the AZ. I noticed older people and men who had the AZ had worse, flu like side effects but those around me who had Pfizer didn’t have side effects. Just anecdotal though I know.

whatswithtodaytoday · 26/04/2021 17:21

Hell yes. 39 and very keen to be vaccinated, I'm checking this board every day to see if it's come down to my age group yet.

I would prefer Pfizer or Moderna because they seem to have fewer side effects and I have health anxiety so I know I'll worry about the AZ, but I would far, far rather be vaccinated than not, either way.

bookworm1632 · 26/04/2021 17:24

A friend of mine healthy - 20's - was quite anti it 6 months ago - had read all the anti-vax scare stories about impact on fertility etc.

Had covid in Dec.

Still struggling physically 4 months on - now desperate to get vaccinated.

Marimaur · 26/04/2021 17:25

33, have already had one dose.
Not sure why I was invited as have no conditions but I didn’t hesitate.

I know two people with long covid (in late 20s and late 30s) that has absolutely floored them both - both exceptionally healthy before they caught it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2021 17:28

I had it through work, I’m 43. I’m rarely ill but I wasn’t going to risk it.

lurker101 · 26/04/2021 17:28

@LieLikeALoungeroomLizard

If you've already had it, did you feel unwell after ? And for how long ?
Felt like I had a mild hangover the morning after having it, was fine by dinner time so around 8 hours of mild hangover - totally worth it for me.
Waxonwaxoff0 · 26/04/2021 17:33

30 and healthy. If my only option is AZ then I've decided I won't be having it. Hoping by the time it's my turn they will have upped the age limit and I can get Pfizer or Moderna.
