Apparently this is the next age group to be invited

I'm honestly not sure, as not keen on something so new, think I had covid early last year before they were testing

Had mine back in March (am a carer) and I'm just waiting on my 2nd. The only side effect I had was feeling like I'd been punched in the arm the next day and that only lasted for a day.
Oh I should say that I had the AZ vaccine.

Schoolpickup · 26/04/2021 16:30

Yes, people in 30s being vaccinated in South Wales, however I saw plenty of people in their 20s when I went for first dose last week (34).

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/04/2021 16:30

43 had mine at the weekend.

Kottbullar · 26/04/2021 16:31

All the 41 year old if you've already had it, you must another reason for doing so such as your job or health reasons

Not in my area, mine was due to a health issue although I've no idea what that is. DH and my friends had the call for theirs due to age group two weeks later.
DD is 21 and her and many of her friends have all had theirs because one of their parents works in the vaccine centre so has been giving out as many spares as possible.

CheerfulBunny · 26/04/2021 16:31

I had a good long think before I decided to go ahead. I still believe it's your decision to make. My reasoning was that life would likely be quite difficult without proof of vaccination, particularly for travel (maybe work too) for a while anyway. Also, I wondered how confident I was going to feel resuming life again when virtually everyone else I know has been vaccinated. I don't reckon covid would kill me but I don't fancy it much either! It would always be in the back of my mind. I'm quite a sceptical person, I like to consider all sides first so I don't rush to do something just because I feel pressured but once I'd decided I felt peaceful. Oh, and the thing itself is fine if you're nervous. Well organised, kind and patient people, a teeny little scratch and it was all done. I had an achey arm and felt a bit tired, nothing more.

Tinkling · 26/04/2021 16:31

Yes. Play your part.

KnottedFern · 26/04/2021 16:33

I'm 34 and have had both as I work in the nhs. I didn't even hesitate and don't know anyone else that did.

StrawberryLipstickStateOfMind · 26/04/2021 16:33

Yes, 33 and already had my first last week

BingBongToTheMoon · 26/04/2021 16:33

Absolutely. I had COVID in February this year too.
I’m 43 so in the next group.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 26/04/2021 16:34

I’m 42 and I’ve had mine. Yes I felt a bit off colour afterwards but we need to get people vaccinated!

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 26/04/2021 16:34

Yes! I’ve already had both Moderna vaccinations. (I’m a British ex-pat) I got it as soon as I could so I could travel again!

bumbleymummy · 26/04/2021 16:35

No.

MarcelinesMa · 26/04/2021 16:36

I’m mid 30s, carer to my son and I had my first one the other day, no doubts about it at all. My son isn’t medically vulnerable but if I got ill with anything serious including covid I might not be able to look after him and while he has a stepdad who loves him and vice versa he will only allow me to take care of him. For that reason alone I wouldn’t take my chances.

sylv165 · 26/04/2021 16:36

Yes, 40 and have had my first dose (in NI, where they opened appointments up to 40-45 a few weeks ago)

Mumof2bears · 26/04/2021 16:37

Aged 37 and eagerly awaiting my invite. Amongst many reasons, like many other GP my PILs haven't seen their GC for months and months because they're being very cautious (borderline shielding). Ultimately as a society we're all in this together so it's a shared responsibility - we all need to minimise the risks of catching COVID ourselves and by others.

Wannabangbang · 26/04/2021 16:38

Yes already had mine, didn't hesitate much better than the alternative. If everyone finallg took up the vaccine we could all continue to live better lives. Seeing India and what they are going through really makes you think

LieLikeALoungeroomLizard · 26/04/2021 16:38

If you've already had it, did you feel unwell after ? And for how long ?

OP posts:
ArnoldJudasRimmer · 26/04/2021 16:38

No, not fussed about not being able to go abroad and to certain venues either, although would be happy to take a test beforehand if the situation arose.

SquashMinusIsShit · 26/04/2021 16:39

40 & booked for next week

rottengreentomatoes · 26/04/2021 16:39

Yes had it already (job). Ever jab one small step towards this shit being over

Lanique · 26/04/2021 16:39

45, healthy, just had first dose.
Looking forward to not living with the concern of ending up with long Covid.

LividJabber · 26/04/2021 16:40

Nope. My area is on 40+.

Had it last week because of my age, not because I’m a teacher in close contact with hundreds of teens and barely an open window.

MisgenderedSwan · 26/04/2021 16:41

I'm 36 and had both of mine done through work. Dh is 39 and will be going ASAP.

Stoptalkingtome · 26/04/2021 16:43

Yes, can't wait. Just have to avoid covid in the mean time. 🤞

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 26/04/2021 16:43

After the first one I had a sore, achy arm for about two days and felt a bit tired. After the second one, the sore arm again plus an intense bout of flu like symptoms that came and went in 12 hours.
