Yes my period was a week late after my vaccine. I am sure the vaccine delayed it as I had all my usual symptoms but then no period for ages. It was however completely normal when it came so am hoping is just a blip. 💐 for you

BurbageBrook · 09/04/2021 22:30

Funny because the vaccine seemed to bring mine slightly early!

BurbageBrook · 09/04/2021 22:34

Those of you who had missed or late periods did you also have other vaccine side effects l? As I wonder if it could be a stress response. No clue why mine was a week early though, perhaps a coincidence!

TinyGlassOwl · 09/04/2021 22:35

Mine was 5 days late, and only lasted a day! I didn't make the link between that and having had the vaccine a couple of weeks before, until now. I've reported it. Really fascinating!

anji82 · 09/04/2021 22:37

I had my 2nd vaccine, astra zenica on the 29th and my period is usually like clockwork. I am 5 days late! Definitely no chance of being pregnant Confused

AllisoninWunderland · 09/04/2021 22:38

The AZ delayed ovulation by two weeks (had the jab on cycle day 4/5) so my period will be two weeks delayed too.

I’ve not felt ‘right’ in general since having it to be fair. Not enough to put me in bed but just dizzy, sore neck and head.

I’ve decided not to have my second dose because of this. Not ruling out having it in the future but I’m not going through it all again (was very ill the few days after) so soon. It’s some strong shit.

AllisoninWunderland · 09/04/2021 22:39

@BurbageBrook yes as above.

It was definitely a huge stress on my body.

tammie49 · 09/04/2021 22:39

Oh that's interesting. I had COVID in January and was ill for a while. My periods have been messed up since

weegiepower · 09/04/2021 22:45

I was 20 days late after my vaccine, but was Pfizer

Witchesbelazy · 10/04/2021 07:54

I’m almost three weeks late now. It’s troubling from a fertility perspective.
Get the vaccine get life back to normal but at what cost ?

nancywhitehead · 10/04/2021 07:59

This is really interesting - I had AZ two weeks ago. I was due on my period 2 days ago but it hasn't come yet. Normally very regular.

PlanxyDavis · 10/04/2021 08:02

I’m baffled as to why this won’t be reaching the News Headlines. Surely it’s a huge gossip article for the Daily Mail too? But I bet it won’t even reach that. Hmm, wonder why.

I had the vaccine on cycle day 4. I came on yesterday and it’s painful. I’ve not had a painful period since I was in my early teens. It is also weirdly light, at its heaviest a medium flow. Strange.

AllisoninWunderland · 10/04/2021 08:29

@PlanxyDavis

Hmm I wonder the same. Let’s ‘just put it down to women’s problems’
Bet it wasn’t looked at in the trials....

9belle9 · 10/04/2021 09:52

I had the vaccine on 18/3/21, my period is now a week late and no sign that it's on its way! 2 negative clear blue tests too, so not pregnant. I feel like in a few months time when more of the 20-50yo population has been vaccinated more and more people will be talking about this as a side effect! It's been very draining not knowing why I'm so late, this has to be it, it can't be a coincidence surely?

lavenderlou · 10/04/2021 10:01

I didn't have any other side effects at all, other than a bit tired. My period only ended up being about 5 days late though.
Bul21ia · 10/04/2021 10:04

Ohhh this is interesting!

There was a lot of people being forceful about the vaccine saying it won’t affect fertility but it’s telling that several of you have had this! I will be watching closely.

FontyMcFontface · 10/04/2021 10:06

Oh wow, mine was ten days late and it’s never late

herecomesthsun · 10/04/2021 10:06

I had Pfizer 10 weeks ago, at the start of 1 period. The next one was very light, then a delay, just started a normal period.

FontyMcFontface · 10/04/2021 10:06

I didn’t have any other side effects either

9belle9 · 10/04/2021 10:12

I was really ill after the vaccine, temp 39.2 chills/feverish etc...

Useruseruserusee · 10/04/2021 12:33

I had AZ and had have a few side effects, mainly nausea, fatigue and being unable to stomach food. Exactly like early pregnancy in fact.

However my period came on time with no issues.

Scrubadub · 10/04/2021 12:43

I completely missed my period after the Pfizer vaccine - even did a pregnancy test. No other symptoms except a sore arm for a few hours. Didn't make the connection until I read this thread. I assumed it was my age/a blip.

tammie49 · 10/04/2021 12:47

It could be coincidence of course but it seems odd that I've had similar since having COVID. I had a normal period a couple of weeks after testing positive (so assume I ovulated) around that time but then had nothing until day 42 when I bled very lightly for 2 days and now again 12 days later. I've taken pregnancy test too but my OH has had the snip so very unlikely. I've also just turned 40 so had a panic it was the menopause 🤣
So maybe it's an effect of COVID, not just the vaccine. Or maybe just me!
