I had my vaccine two weeks ago...no period and its been two weeks!Anyone else had a delayed period?

It stopped mine half way through, so it was 2 days long instead of 5. Waiting to see if my cycle resumes normally in a couple of weeks.

TheUniversalsHere · 30/03/2021 11:53

Oh this is me too. Am now 12 days late

QwertyGirly · 30/03/2021 11:55

report it as a side effect. I've seen quite a few posts on here about this.

Incidentally, I had covid over Christmas and skipped my periods for two months.

VienneseWhirligig · 30/03/2021 11:59

Mine too! I didn't think about the vaccine being a cause, I am 2 weeks late now I think about it. Hmm.

CthulhuChristmas · 30/03/2021 12:01

Mine was late and now that it's here, it's abnormally light so far. Usually day 1 is the heaviest for me but I've had several days of barely more than spotting. Very odd.

mrsnw · 30/03/2021 12:01

There is already a thread for this. It would appear that for lots of people it brings their period early but I have completely missed a period after Astra Zeneca.

TheMarzipanDildo · 30/03/2021 12:05

This is very interesting. I’ve not had the vaccine yet but I find the things that change my period very odd- having an exam or going on holiday can make a difference of about two weeks.

I wonder what the science is behind the vaccine effect?

BashfulClam · 30/03/2021 12:14

I hope it stops mine. Bastarding endo pain.

FoxyTheFox · 30/03/2021 12:27

Were you poorly at all after your vaccine, even just briefly? Being unwell can delay ovulation which then delays your period.

Tittyfilarious · 30/03/2021 12:35

Mine was 5 days late and was different to normal for me also

GlitzAndGlamour26 · 30/03/2021 12:36

I had flu like symptoms for the day with chills and slight fever and then fatigue for the next two days.

OP posts:
CandyCaneLane0 · 30/03/2021 14:10

Mine was a week late and unusually light, it hadn't occurred to me that the jab could have been the cause

Mammaaof · 30/03/2021 14:13

Omg I've been taking pregnancy tests every day because I'm 2 weeks late, had my vaccine 2 weeks ago!

Woodpecker22 · 30/03/2021 15:02

Mine stopped after having covid and I started getting hot flushes. Not sure if it is a coincidence.

Tejutas · 30/03/2021 15:05

Yes mine is on time but not actually happening, just the cramps. I'm on HRT so thought it would have over-ridden anything from the vaccine but I guess maybe not.

Chaotica · 30/03/2021 15:08

Mine is early. I had the vaccine last week. I hadn't thought to connect the two until I saw this thread.

LilyMumsnet · 30/03/2021 15:50

We're just moving this over to the coronavirus topic. Flowers

Newnamefor2021 · 30/03/2021 15:53

Oh, I hope so. Wonder why? Had my vaccine Saturday but I'm not regular anyway. Interesting though.

GrumpyHoonMain · 30/03/2021 15:55

Mine started a little earlier and was very heavy as a result of the vaccine. I was warned about it at the vaccine centre as the local teaching hospital thinks there’s a link between vaccine side effects and menstrual changes particularly for women with pcos or endo.
TurkeyTrot · 30/03/2021 16:00

I am on day 30 today, a 'normal' month for me is 24-26 days.....jab a couple of weeks ago.

LadyPenelope68 · 30/03/2021 16:09

Opposite here. Hadn’t had a period for 18 months (peri-meno) but a few days after had first period for a couple of days, then a week later another, week later another then nothing since thankfully.

Cinderellashoes · 30/03/2021 17:22

Have you all reported these side effects?
I’m a vaccinator and it’s really important to report these.

Beepbopadooda · 30/03/2021 17:26

Mine was a week late, I was on my period when I had the vaccine and waited 31 days for it to arrive

Omg! I had my vaccine on Friday and my period had already started and is unusually light!

Oooh fascinating stuff!
