..can they fuck.

There maybe plenty of reasons why they have too but to lie that it's safe is deplorable.

Don't send your kids then. Simple.

Sick of these threads.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 22/02/2021 16:16

OK. I expect the vast majority can't wait for their children to go back.

Theimpossiblegirl · 22/02/2021 16:17

They can return to school.
It's no safer than it was when we entered lockdown.

justanotherneighinparadise · 22/02/2021 16:18

Overjoyed!

Twinkie01 · 22/02/2021 16:18

Keep yours at home then.

My 7 year old cried with joy and relief today when I told her only 9 more days of homeschooling.

Not that we're shit at homeschooling but she feels v v isolated and its effecting her mental health.

This.
QuidditchQueen · 22/02/2021 16:19

So relieved! Thank god sanity has prevailed.

Quit4me · 22/02/2021 16:20

It will be safe for the vast vast majority of people now that the vulnerable have been vaccinated.
That doesn’t mean that many won’t get covid, they will, but they will still be safe, even with covid

TheKeatingFive · 22/02/2021 16:20

Homeschooling is an option for anyone who wants it. HTH.

unmarkedbythat · 22/02/2021 16:20

I am delighted that children are going back to school. If you don't think yours will be safe, then don't send them.

TheKeatingFive · 22/02/2021 16:20

I mean, they’re not ‘safe’ getting into a car, but that doesn’t stop people.

ivfbeenbusy · 22/02/2021 16:21

Yawn

These threads are becoming boring

Teachers are no more at risk than anyone else.

AgnesNaismith · 22/02/2021 16:21

I can’t wait, they can’t wait.

icantthinkofanamehelp · 22/02/2021 16:21

Woop woop!
Lockdown was never to stop people getting the virus
Protect the NHS was it's purpose

Rosehip10 · 22/02/2021 16:22

Deregister and home school then. If you are a teacher who can't accept this then resign.

SeldomFollowedIt · 22/02/2021 16:22

Woop woop I’ll be hop, skipping and jumping to the gates

Hallelujah 🥳

TheDrsDocMartens · 22/02/2021 16:22

I don’t believe schools are safer than in January when they shut. I believe the nhs is less over run than in Jan.
I think it’s time for a phased return. All in (including uni students on practical courses-so more movement) is too fast.

pommedeterre · 22/02/2021 16:22

YES. THIS. People have suddenly set all their risk levels at has to be 100% safe. Nothing is 100% safe and covid isn't going anywhere, basically ever so... schools have to go back and we have to learn to live with that.
Delatron · 22/02/2021 16:23

So pleased common sense has prevailed. Define ‘safe’ anyway.

There’s risk everywhere.

ineedaholidaynow · 22/02/2021 16:23

Will be interesting to see how quickly the bubbles start bursting!

At least there will be masks in classrooms in Secondary schools

mumsneedwine · 22/02/2021 16:23

Teachers are no more at risk than anyone else ? Shane today's ONS data proves this v wrong.

In two weeks pupils can safely return to school..
LunaAzul · 22/02/2021 16:24

Hooray!!! My DC cannot wait to get back and I can't wait to start working my normal hours.

Unanananana · 22/02/2021 16:25

Myself and my DC are so happy. My children are going to get their lives back and the proper education they are entitled to. Those who don't like it, take your kids out and homeschool them yourselves.

fallfallfall · 22/02/2021 16:25

They've been in since September where I live with no known adverse effects.
No teachers ill.
A few classes were isolated for short periods when parents tested positive (not the children, parents hcw).

Pootle40 · 22/02/2021 16:25

And with the study coming out today re impact on vaccine in reducing hospitalisation this seems like the right call. If only sturgeon would hurry up and follow suit.
