The old one filled up before we could link a new one but here we are.

Here in Swansea they seem to be doing well too. My 28 year old friend had hers last week after registering for the reserve list and everyone I know over 40 was done by last week.

Helocariad · 28/04/2021 16:36

I'm with Hywel DDa and had my jab earlier this week (45+ category). Friends in the 40-45 category have their appointments later this week/at the weekend.

Doilooklikeatourist · 28/04/2021 22:43

Went out for dinner and drinks with friends in the local pub
Should have had about another 3 layers on

BonesJones · 28/04/2021 22:45

Swansea, 35 year old...had mine yesterday! I was surprised when I got the text. Wasn't expecting it so soon.

Sheeeeeeeeeeep · 29/04/2021 10:20

I'm in Cardiff. 28 and having it tomorrow. They are zipping through!

justasking111 · 29/04/2021 13:34

NHS covid passport. Drakeford says they have to be bilingual, so you can have your information in welsh rather than english. I do wonder how our overseas hosts will view it though. Our portuguese customs have zero understanding of welsh, are France Spain any wiser??

Helocariad · 29/04/2021 14:08

I'm assuming with bilingual he means, it will be in English AND Welsh, not English OR Welsh? There are many countries with more than 1 official language which will probably be doing similar?

BestIsWest · 29/04/2021 15:08

DS 23 had his today in Swansea so well worth signing up for the cancellation list.

BestIsWest · 29/04/2021 15:09

Welsh AND English not either I would imagine.

grannycake · 30/04/2021 06:08

My 36 yr old son's appointment arrived for next week - Swansea

Wobbitcatcher · 30/04/2021 20:54

Update - despite my gp telling me I won’t be called for a jab until July. I had my letter today and I’m booked in for 2 weeks time. Age 30 in ABHB

ImAllOut · 30/04/2021 21:15

Early 30s in Aneurin Bevan here too and received a letter. I really don't want Astra Zeneca though due to family blood clots. I wasn't that bothered before but now I would really prefer an alternative.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 30/04/2021 23:07

Letters for all the 40-49 year olds that I know (inc me, obv) have arrived this week for appointments at the local rainbow hospital in N Wales. We were lagging severely behind so they aren't relying on the gps to help catch up the numbers it seems.

There doesn't seem to be that much communication in terms of the invites for vaccines. Several colleagues had it a few weeks ago over the border in England (via a loophole) and they've had their letter with an appointment despite having had dose 1 a month ago.

And several NHS staff I know of the same age range have also been invited for their 'first dose' at the same hospital, so it's not seemingly recorded centrally that they didn't need their invite.

A bit of a worry if we ever did need meaningful vaccine passports!

Gotthetshirt23 · 01/05/2021 05:47

Coastal West Wales here , my partner (mid 40s) had his letter , tried to book online- all appointments offered were in England? Ludlow , Shrewsbury etc ?

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 01/05/2021 13:54

DS is 24 and had his letter through today with an appointment for mid month. We are in Powys. No details on which vaccine, but assuming not AZ.

DdraigGoch · 06/05/2021 15:36

The Welsh case rate dropped below 10 cases per 100k today

More amazingly, there has not been a single recorded case in the whole of Denbighshire in the last week, despite nearly 1,000 tests being conducted. The first county in the UK to be as good as Covid-free.

I may be missing something, but can anyone explain why the votes aren't being counted until today? I know, "Because Covid," but I don't get it. Surely social distancing means it may take longer, but I'd have thought that's a reason to start as early as possible?

Doilooklikeatourist · 07/05/2021 07:48

I don’t understand why either @110APiccadilly the Hartlepool by-election must have been counted overnight as that result has been announced
Covid is being blamed for lot of things when it’s not actually the reason

DdraigGoch · 07/05/2021 15:25

Probably expense or something.

Just realised after watching the news on the BBC the released holiday flying list only applies to England not Scotland or Wales who still have to decide if we can fly.

DdraigGoch · 08/05/2021 17:30

Not that I am planning on flying anywhere soon but unless you actually use Cardiff Airport, how will they ever know? Lots of people fly from Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester.

I would be concerned it might affect my insurance should I need to claim, hate giving them wriggle room
Doilooklikeatourist · 09/05/2021 12:16

I don’t think Drakeford will agree with Boris , he’ll have to do something just a bit different

DdraigGoch · 09/05/2021 13:17

Ah yes, he'll exclude South Georgia from the list or add in the Moon.
