Will be interesting today indeed. I have to go down to Tenby to collect something. I wouldn’t but it it is a special birthday gift for someone. Expecting it to be busy.

justasking111 · 12/04/2021 09:47

Just had a look at A55 traffic cameras, very quiet. Thinking no-one is rushing back to the shops today

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 12/04/2021 10:35

Yes, it's no accident that the shops have reopened when most people are at work or back at school. The weekend it's going to be heaving though.

BestIsWest · 12/04/2021 15:40

Tenby was reasonably quiet thankfully. The only shop that seemed to have queues was Peacocks.

DdraigGoch · 12/04/2021 17:38

I think that parts of England still have a week left of the Easter holidays. Rhyl station was heaving now that the holiday camps have reopened. Chester gridlocked too.

Went shopping with DD this afternoon
There was a queue outside Debenhams ( I think it’s a one day closing sale ) but we didn’t want to go in there anyway
Nowhere too busy , had to queue to pay in H & M , but Boots , M& S , TK Maxx all fine
Sports Direct was busy , parents and kids getting black shoes and sports kit for schools
Just so nice to have a bit of normality 👍

justasking111 · 12/04/2021 19:28

Maybe the cafés, pubs, restaurants being closed still means a shopping trip is a bit boring, unless you can take a break. Last time was much busier.

Doilooklikeatourist · 12/04/2021 19:33

@justasking111 we can’t wait for a shopping n lunch outing !

ArosGartref · 12/04/2021 19:54

I went to passed a sports direct and there was a steady stream of people coming out with shoe boxes. I've got a fitting booked at Clarks tomorrow for my youngest.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 12:26

Anyone in Cardiff? Just so you know, over 30s can now book the jab! I booked mine this morning and was done within ten minutes!

PurpleOranges · 13/04/2021 12:53

My husband is 47 and hasn't had his yet (Pembrokeshire)

thevassal · 13/04/2021 13:00

Where does it say that Jesus? Couldn't see anything on the c and v website

I'm on the continent. Our shops were closed in November and are now appointment only. No cafes totally took the fun out of an afternoon shopping when you can't take a rest and a cup of tea, but people still did it. We still had really full shopping streets and malls.
JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 14:09

@thevassal my DH (over 40) had his on Monday and asked if there were any jabs going spare, and the nurse told him I could just call and book as they were taking over 30s now. I'm in Pentwyn mind you - don't know if it's the same for all Cardiff?

thevassal · 13/04/2021 14:31

Ah im very close to pentwyn (waves) I'll give it a go! Thanks!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 14:40

Good luck! I'm sure you know but it's 02921841234. I couldn't get through on Monday evening, but tried the next morning and got through straight away - only 19 ahead of me in the queue.

thevassal · 13/04/2021 15:01

I've got one at four today! Great stuff, thanks so much!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 15:03

Woohoo!! Fantastic! I had the AZ btw, at the leisure centre.

thevassal · 13/04/2021 17:08

yep I went to the leisure centre too. it was very quiet and really quick! I didn't tell them "Jesus told me to come," Grin thought it sounded as though I'd had a celestial message rather than a MN one!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 17:50

Tbf you don't know I'm not the real Jesus... Grin Anonymous forum and all that.

They posted today asking only those 40+ to call the booking line. Anyone younger should fill in the reserve form that is online.
JesusInTheCabbageVan · 13/04/2021 19:16

@whitestarflower oops Blush

Amazing!!

Also - there's a chance we may get a decision today on indoor hospitality, as a restaurant has applied for a judicial review of the WAG restrictions and the deadline for a response is 4pm today. Fingers crossed!
