The despair seems to have settled on me like a black cloud. I've tried so hard all through this to keep my own and everyone's spirits up, to keep on top of homeschooling, to cook nice meals, to find ways to bring at least a little joy and pleasure into everyone's lives, and I just can't do it anymore.

Everything seems hopeless.

Yeah. I miss my friends. We zoom but it's not the same.

“ We are in lockdown because they know parts of the population are not able to behave themselves and contain themselves and follow social distancing guidelines. ”

I do not agree. This is not the thread for this argument, but my anger is not directed in the same way as yours.

@TinaYouFatLard I have genuinely fantasised about being hit by a car and being in a coma for a few months.

I found myself thinking about this comment today as I walked the dog round the park and realised I was feeling nostalgic for my 7 days on an IV drip in hospital, complete with gut-wrenching abdominal pain, being treated for an infected gall bladder. It may have been hell, but I didn't have to look after anyone else, someone brought me my meals (such as I could eat - the first three days on clear liquids only were fucking grim), and someone cleaned the bathroom and changed the bed for me...

Still, DDog is back to being DDog rather than hound from hell, having let me get a decent night's sleep last night.
