She lAughed and told me how she's been working from home kids in school and she's nhs so that matters..! Laughed and congratulated me how well I've done ✅ I'm fucking livid quite frankly. Am
I the only school abiding by the rules

OP posts:
borntohula · 31/01/2021 21:42

Huh

MrsMercedes · 31/01/2021 21:42

not sure I follow....?

MsJaneAusten · 31/01/2021 21:43

Errrr

Nicknacky · 31/01/2021 21:43

It’s not a big post so maybe proof read before posting?

But anyway, who cares? If the school are happy to take the kids then what’s the issue?

MaryMashedThem · 31/01/2021 21:43

What does this even mean?

mechanicalwonder · 31/01/2021 21:43

What?

Oysterbabe · 31/01/2021 21:43

What?

Peachyqueen · 31/01/2021 21:44

If she works for the NHS she has every right to have her children in school.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 31/01/2021 21:45

I get what you're saying OP.

She is NHS so has taken up a key worker place at school but is working from home.

I understand your frustration. Had an email last week to say 70% of kids are in at pur school. It's a fucking disgrace and the parents taking the piss should be ashamed of themselves.

vodkaredbullgirl · 31/01/2021 21:45
Hmm
MrsMercedes · 31/01/2021 21:45

how could she work if her kids were under her feet let alone home school them?

are you jealous op??

Xerochrysum · 31/01/2021 21:45

Are you ok?

orangejuicer · 31/01/2021 21:46

@Peachyqueen

Yes but sounds like she's office based and working from home?

The rest of the post makes no sense.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 31/01/2021 21:47

So you are angry because a key worker who works from home is putting their kids in to school to allow them to get their essential work done?

Give over! Not all key workers need to go into their workplace to do their jobs you know!

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 31/01/2021 21:47

how could she work if her kids were under her feet let alone home school them?

The same way the rest of us are doing!

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 31/01/2021 21:49

Then they shouldn't take up a school place.

I am a key worker, OH is a key worker. Our child is not in school because we are working from home. It's actually very very simple

ZeroFuchsGiven · 31/01/2021 21:50

How many bottles of plonk did you buy in Tesco?

CrazyFoxLady · 31/01/2021 21:50

@Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady how is this taking the piss? I work from home for the NHS and I am sending my children to school. I couldn't do my job properly if they were at home, and they wouldn't get much done either as they distract each other. DH is frontline NHS and has no option. We are all in this together, be kind please Thanks

chorusline79 · 31/01/2021 21:51

What's her job? She may have to make confidential/sensitive phone calls to patients from home and it wouldn't be appropriate for her children to be around.
Realistically, not all key workers can work from home and home school.

wellthatsunusual · 31/01/2021 21:53

Shook your world? Bit dramatic...

My view on her being selfish or sensible really depends on what her job is to be honest.

Cissyandflora · 31/01/2021 21:54

I think I understand that you went to Tesco. And whilst you were there you met a certain someone. This person laughed. You’re pretty cross.

nah, just cos you do,doesnt mean everyone else should....she's got a school place so why not use it? smacks of jealousy to me...
WorraLiberty · 31/01/2021 22:00

Keyworker's DC takes up school place offered to Keyworker's DCs

Hold the front page 🙄

CureCovid · 31/01/2021 22:01

I went to Asda. Met someone. Had a chat. They pissed me off. I went home and got drunk. Then I wrote an illegible post on Mumsnet. I went to bed. When I woke up I was a bit embarrassed.
