Notapheasantplucker · 31/01/2021 22:54

U wot?

WorraLiberty · 31/01/2021 22:54

And a PP was right. The OP works 7 hours a week Confused

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 31/01/2021 22:55

@Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady are you the OP?

Oh ffs really?!

I disagree with the majority and don't join in the general pile on so that must mean I am the OP, madly doing some weird name changes?

To make it simple

  1. I am not the OP
  2. I have had the same username for several years

Anyone who fancies doing an advanced search go ahead. I couldn't give less of a shit.

RedSoloCup
I was a bit cross last week when a couple in my village were having a nice walk together at lunchtime. They have a child in my DC class and I said oh where is little Oscar, oh he's at school as we're WFH!

Why on earth would that make you cross?
Even working from home, you're allowed a break to go for a walk outside!
Or should they hole themselves up only eating gruel during office/school hours to appease those who aren't able to be at home?!
It must be exhausting caring so much what others are or aren't doing or whether life's fair or not or whatever.
Just keep on doing you instead of getting wound up over someone getting a bit of fresh air.

JustCallMeTheGreatest · 31/01/2021 22:58

@Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady

I can assure you I am far from jealous. Why would I be? I am "entitled" (appropriate word that!) to a place and have chosen not to use it. Because it's the right thing to do.

I am doing my bit in keeping my child out of school.

Do you think the teachers are saying to each other "well they're entitled to a school place so why not use it?!" I highly doubt it.

The teachers I know (confirmed by emails we have received from the school) are desperate for people to keep their children home if they possibly can. They are as worried for their health now as they were in December.

This totally reads as the response of an OP? No?
AlwaysLatte · 31/01/2021 22:59

Who met who? Sorry this post has completely lost me and I've read it three times!

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 31/01/2021 22:59

It was in response to someone quoting me and then saying "smacks of jealousy"

Bluntness100 · 31/01/2021 23:00

Well this is all a bit odd

Andante57 · 31/01/2021 23:00

@ZeroFuchsGiven

@MrsMercedes

how could she work if her kids were under her feet let alone home school them?

are you jealous op??

😂😂😂 are you fucking serious? I'm a teacher. I teach mainly from home with my own children also at home as we are all CV (and I was previously classified as CEV as was shielding).

Of course she could and should have her children at home and just bloody deal with it.

JustCallMeTheGreatest · 31/01/2021 23:04

Oh ffs, so many typos. Yes, I’m going to bed, apologises to the lady who remembers the Korean lady!

Nunoftheother · 31/01/2021 23:04

For the love of God can't people have at least a cursory proofread of what they've written, especially if it's the OP of the thread? Hmm

JustCallMeTheGreatest · 31/01/2021 23:05

Apologies Grin

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 31/01/2021 23:05

@CrazyFoxLady We are hardly 'in this together' if you are working from home and send you children to school.
I am working from home and I'm home-schooling three children. I have moments my work is confidential. I have Zoom meetings. IT IS HARD! I want this horrendous time to be over and by staying at home with my children, as we are meant to, I am hopefully helping a little. Seriously - you be kind! Who do you think is actually looking after your children? It could be a vulnerable member of staff that has no choice but to work.
