Took test at a test centre 8pm Thursday. Nothing back yet.

Anyone else waiting or got any insight into average London wait times?

Can’t stop checking my emails and texts Confused

53 hours here.

annie987 · 23/12/2020 15:36

So far that is

JustPurple · 23/12/2020 15:56

Over 120 hours now!

alwayswantchocolate · 23/12/2020 16:04

47 hours since postbox collection time. And waiting.

Friolero · 23/12/2020 16:35

We're 26 hours so far, I'm really hoping for them back today but given some of you are waiting days I'm not that hopeful.

It seems a very random system when some are back within hours and others wait days and days.

sweetchristmastime · 23/12/2020 17:02

32 hours now

Disgruntledpelicans · 23/12/2020 17:14

My 30 hours seems like nothing compared to some of you 😢. I'm so fed up of being ill now

Lululatch · 23/12/2020 17:55

Just got results- 32 hours. Negative - phew

toodleloooo · 23/12/2020 18:04

48 hours since I posted my test back and no news yet. I was told when I registered it not to expect the results by Christmas and to only chase if I hadn't heard by Boxing Day 😥

sweetchristmastime · 23/12/2020 18:31

Just got mine. Negative 😁

gladyoucame · 23/12/2020 19:00

61 hours and counting in Lancashire.... really need to get a few bits from supermarket but can wait or miss if necessary. Frustrating as I was told 24-48 hours

Ruby1991 · 23/12/2020 19:01

Just gorine after 54 hours
Thankfully it's negative

BookShark · 23/12/2020 19:16

56 hours. Positive. Sad

Smashedavacado · 23/12/2020 19:39

Oh my goodness. DH tested at 12.30 today Tangmere (nr Chichester) was hoping for result in 48 hrs so we can let DM come for Christmas Day lunch. Reading all the posts I think she'll need to get some food in to cook for herself!

oep17 · 23/12/2020 19:56

sorry @BookShark hope you are feeling ok

BookShark · 23/12/2020 20:01

Thanks oep17. I'm a bit shivery and achy, but otherwise fine. Just hope I don't pass it on to DH or DD!

NeurologicallySpeaking · 23/12/2020 20:19

Incidentally those who tested negative what symptoms do you have? Or positive?!

I have aching limbs...

MindatWork · 23/12/2020 20:25

I’ve just had a test in Kent and was told to expect results in 48-72 hours - v different to DD’s test last week where we were told 24-48 hours. I imagine it’s the pressure on the labs from the massively increased testing.

Absolutely gutted as we were planning to have my DM for Christmas dinner but I’ve just had to call her and tell her to get some food in Sad.

I want nothing more that for her to be with us but DD tested positive for covid last week and I’ve just started a temperature today (today was our first day out of isolation for DD - you couldn’t make it up!)

tootyfruitypickle · 23/12/2020 20:26

52 hours since post box collection

oep17 · 23/12/2020 21:41

@MindatWork I tested in Kent on Sunday morning and still waiting. Will have waited 4 days by 8am tomorrow if don’t hear by then

MindatWork · 23/12/2020 21:44

@oep17 oh no what a bloody nightmare, how are you feeling? It must have escalated really quickly - DH had a test on Friday and the result came back in 28 hours.

Merry bloody Christmas everyone. Just trying to comfort myself with having done the right thing to keep my family safe...

MrsBennetsnerves · 23/12/2020 21:47

Negative, 54 hours from posting a home test in London. That's earlier than I expected. DH posted his at the same time but hasn't had his results yet.

oep17 · 23/12/2020 21:50

I’m ok thank you. I’m an NHS worker and already had a positive lateral flow test on Saturday evening so this is to confirm. But I only have heavy cold symptoms which I’ve had for the last 10 days, I took the lateral flow test as a routine test I wasn’t expecting it to be positive Blush

KarmaKhameleon · 23/12/2020 21:52

Husband and oldest son went for testing yesterday in Kent at 10am. Husband's result came through at 7am this morning but still no sign of DS's! How is this even possible when they were in the same car?! Confused

PrincessConsuela12 · 23/12/2020 21:59

82 hours here. I'm in the SE and went to a drive through. My friend did a home test a day later than me & got hers last night. Hoping I'll hear back tonight
