Mines come back negative. Still waiting on partners though so I'm still restricted.

Ohmango · 22/12/2020 14:20

Just got a positive result.

It says me and household have to isolate from day after symptoms started. Well I felt shit and had a runny nose and sneezing all the time from Wednesday, but started coughing and loss sense of taste and smell from Saturday. When do I count from?

LimitIsUp · 22/12/2020 14:22

Your symptoms started Wednesday so day after was last Thursday

Ohmango · 22/12/2020 14:30

I saw people in between though because it was just a runny nose and sneezing. I feel terrible

LimitIsUp · 22/12/2020 14:58

Don't feel terrible - how were you to know? Easy to mistake it for the common cold at that early stage. You've done the responsible thing now and had a test when you started suspecting you might have Covid, plenty of people don't bother because they would rather not know and would rather not have to self isolate.

My dd is persona non grata at her workplace because she had a test - although I am pretty sure she wasn't patient zero at her work because she said a few of them were coughing last week

I’m still waiting for second test result. At 31 hours for second test now. I’m feeling much better, symptoms have all gone and I feel normal so if it does come back positive at least it takes the worry of it being really bad away a bit. I’m Vulnerable but not CEV so I’m a bit concerned about it. My family are driving me mad though and so are the dogs wanting a walk!

Fluffypyjamasandgin · 22/12/2020 15:05

Ds16 is waiting for a test result. He finished school last Thursday, but yesterday had a sore throat and a temp.
I'm CEV so trying not to think about it being positive. We haven't been anywhere (because of the CEV thing) so at least we know we haven't passed it on if it is that.

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/12/2020 15:28

I'm only at 30 hours, but already been isolating as there's a case in my son's nursery class, which is due to end tomorrow. My symptoms started saturday, so would add another 6ish days on to that, and I'm already a bit stir crazy!

Woulditbeworth · 22/12/2020 15:48

Just received my results. Tested at 8am yesterday, in East Sussex, approx 31hrs wait. Negative thank goodness.

I hope you are all ok. x

Jenibluebell · 22/12/2020 16:18

Kirklees it was 28 hours for our result. After having one at drive through xx

sproutsandparsnips · 22/12/2020 16:19

DH got tested 1030 today, results 2pm (priority NHS testing). Positive Sad. Really stressed as I was due to work Boxing night and am the only one on (we work alone and is essential role). Luckily one of my fabulous colleagues is stepping into the breech). He only had a very mild scratchy throat from Sunday, went to work Monday. Temp Monday night. Really hoping he hasn't infected anyone else.

Ffsffsffsffsffs · 22/12/2020 16:27

20 hours - Leeds. Booked at 9.30am yesterday, tested at 10am at a drive-through, results at 6am this morning.

Kitty2018 · 22/12/2020 17:09

Walk through test centre in SW London in Sunday morning. Still waiting for results...

Purplecatshopaholic · 22/12/2020 17:23

Waiting here too. Took test this morning. Central Scotland. Feeling pretty shit but not Awful Awful! Feverish and no taste or smell. Terrible headache. No cough. Wasnt planning on going out anyway so just going to take it easy.

Hazelmazel · 22/12/2020 17:26

Just got a negative result back, it took about 27 hours so very quick in comparison to some here. Hope everyone stays well

blackwych · 22/12/2020 17:45

Sent home test off yesterday. No idea how long the results will take, but it doesn't really matter as we had no plans to go out or do anything. Convinced it will be negative. I just seem to cough on and off all winter every winter, which is proving quite problematic during a pandemic.

Bugger. Given I took the test a day later than you, I'm guessing that puts paid to my hope of a result this evening...
MrsMaryClausFace · 22/12/2020 18:38
@MrsMaryClausFace were you able to track it to see when it was received at the lab?

They won’t escalate them until day 6 which is Xmas day for us I think. Depends how it is counted, our test was 8:30am on Sunday so is that day 1?
I can't find how to track it? I didn't ring today, I'm going to call in the morning first thing

toodleloooo · 22/12/2020 19:01

Sent home test back yesterday but apparently it only reached West London this evening. I think the return address was in Scotland so not too hopeful about a quick turnaround! Sounds like most people here went to a test centre? I'm a bit annoyed that I let DP convince me to do the home test!

toodleloooo · 22/12/2020 19:03

@MrsMaryClausFace did you manage to take a photo of the front of the box? You can enter that number on the Royal Mail website to track the parcel. Sorry if I've misunderstood you!

Mydarlingsleepthief · 22/12/2020 19:08

I’m waiting too, 28 hours in. Am convinced it will be negative as only symptom is a cough

JustPurple · 22/12/2020 19:15

I had a test in Yorkshire on Friday. 100 hours and counting.

I called to chase it up today and they confirmed it had been registered. They said to call back tomorrow if I don't hear anything.

When I booked the test I had the choice of any 30 minute block that day, and we were one of 2 cars there so I didn't think it was so busy.

Ahhh bugger no I didn't!

I'm going to ring in the morning- they must have recieved it by at least Friday (but should have been Thursday really) so I should have had a result by now

NeurologicallySpeaking · 22/12/2020 19:29

Yup waiting. On about 30 hrs

MrsMaryClausFace · 22/12/2020 19:38

God's sake. Just spoke to them, I was supposed to keep the AA number. It doesn't say that (that I can remember) and the number the Gov.uk website gives is different.

GAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
