I'm lanarkshire too (north). Dont see anything opening up again any time soon

randomsabreuse · 23/10/2020 16:20

East Dunbartonshire, expecting 3 from the fact cases still aren't going down.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 23/10/2020 16:21

Aberdeenshire. Hoping we'll be on the lower end of the spectrum.

pobparker · 23/10/2020 16:25

Perthshire
Hoping to be in tier 2 -
but I visit Dundee daily to walk my dogs in a country park and also shop there, and I think it might be tier 3 - which means I will be banned from going -

Fortherosesjoni70 · 23/10/2020 16:29

Is it not health board areas?
I reckon greater glasgow and clyde are a 4

Yip but i think tier 4
dementedpixie · 23/10/2020 16:32

I think Glasgow will stay on 3 along with North/South Lanarkshire. I think tier 4 will be saved for if case numbers dont respond to the most recent restrictions. Lanarkshire is now worse figures wise than Glasgow

Mrsjayy · 23/10/2020 16:33

I've just seen the list it's a lot to digestConfused are the going to appoint our tiers before November . Maybe we will be a 3 im in forth Valley

GreyishDays · 23/10/2020 16:36

I think I’ll be 2? Edinburgh? Or is that wishful thinking? Our cases have really dropped over the last week or so.

NotAnActualSheep · 23/10/2020 16:36

Edinburgh. I'm hoping level 2 on the grounds that cases don't seem to be going up as much as some areas and may be declining. (Well, I'm hoping level 0, but accept that's unlikely). But I think it might be level 3, because "central belt".

I really wish there had been more information given as to how they will manage the sorting hat of levels. And what an area has to do to move between levels. A 7 day case figure, or rate of increase/ decrease or something. I'm not 100% happy at seeming to be at the mercy of some public health people, council bods and an algorithm, (presumably) all overridden by NS if she Has A Feeling.

GreyishDays · 23/10/2020 16:37

Hang on, I’m presuming the tiers go 0-4. Based on that I think we’re 2 or possibly 3.

dementedpixie · 23/10/2020 16:37

I'm assuming tiers will be assigned by November 2nd. I'm also assuming my gym classes will not start back any time soon

dementedpixie · 23/10/2020 16:38

0 is good, 4 is bad!

Oh so was I. 3 then.
Mrsjayy · 23/10/2020 16:41

Oh that is an easier table to understand i don't feel as daft now.

Fortherosesjoni70 · 23/10/2020 16:41

For greater glasgow and clyde

weebarra · 23/10/2020 16:42

Midlothian. 3 probably!

AgentCooper · 23/10/2020 16:44

Struggling to care. I’m in Glasgow and haven’t been allowed inside my office since March so it’s basically all the same shit to me.

NotAnActualSheep · 23/10/2020 16:45

Am a bit sad level 0 isn't actually normal. Still limits on meeting numbers, social distancing, masks etc. I know they can't really say anything else, but pinning all hope on a vaccine seems a bit presumptious given we're not sure there will be a successful one, and if there is, how long it will take to ensure all vulnerable people are covered. And if there isn't, is that really it forever? Bit grim, no?

I was hoping for a 2 for Dundee!! I'm Angus and potentially we could be 0/1 but I'm concerned about any possible travel into Dundee being banned as well. I am so glad it's being done on local authority and not health board area though otherwise we would have been lumped in with Dundee!!

Mrsjayy · 23/10/2020 17:05

Sadly this virusIs going nowhere ,so I think there will be restrictions untill there is a a vaccine.

Plump82 · 23/10/2020 17:07

I don't think many, if any for now will be Tier 0 and I think 4 will be reserved for if things get really bad! Which knowing my luck and the way things are going will probably be Lanarkshire. We had a weekend planned to Dundde, reckon that'll be off the cards now!

OP posts:
Ecosse · 23/10/2020 18:31

I am certainly hoping Edinburgh will be tier 2 but I strongly suspect Sturgeon will not put us in a different tier from Glasgow for political reasons.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 23/10/2020 20:09

how can level zero be 'nearly normal'???

That doesn't eve make sense!

raviolidreaming · 23/10/2020 20:29

Assuming that Tier 0 has been introduced for the islands that have hardly seen any cases? Certainly Arran currently has a ridiculously harsh deal whilst the division is health board.
