Sorry for your loss @Weefreelassie2

NeurotrashWarrior · 12/10/2020 16:52

Thanks Penny.

I'm so confused.

What's changed?

Plussizejumpsuit · 12/10/2020 16:52

Hi everyone! Thread 3 I'm impressed!

Such a grey day in Gateshead today. I didn't hear bojo but he probably just doesn't know what he is talking about re rule of 6 and NE.

@PennyDreadfuI you made me laugh about it being a food Christmas in lieu I'd social interaction. That's summed up my year tbh! Grin

FourTeaFallOut · 12/10/2020 16:52

I think the whole of the Tees Valley will be in tier 2.

NeurotrashWarrior · 12/10/2020 16:54

Bbc seems to still have the correct restrictions?

What's going on!?!

Willyoujustbequiet · 12/10/2020 16:55

I know the schools are staying open but previously the government said a higher tier would mean blended learning ....maybe different year groups in different weeks.

Anyone heard anything?

NeurotrashWarrior · 12/10/2020 16:56

I think that's if it's really bad.

But I'll let the thread know if we get wind of that!

FourTeaFallOut · 12/10/2020 16:58

No. I've only seen reports that detail the schools as remaining open regardless of infection level.

MissEWeatherwax · 12/10/2020 17:09

I hope we go into tier 2. My DD just been allowed back to school, since her bubble burst. She found not been allowed out of house and garden really hard going.
Listened to Johnson and I wish he would stop waffling and get to the point. That was about 10 minutes of my life I will not get back.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 12/10/2020 17:17

HoC was as clear as mid, roll on 7pm for further confusion! I want to know if we can travel at half term (booked pre covid and long anticipated, would be very socially distanced and only one household)

ShoesJerry · 12/10/2020 17:17

Hi all, Delurking to say that Mary Foy (Durham City MP) has tweeted that Durham is Tier 2. I've been following these threads and enjoying all the local intel!

MissEWeatherwax · 12/10/2020 17:29

Is that tier 2 with local restrictions? Just checked my local area and our Covid number has gone down by one.

Shitfuckoh · 12/10/2020 17:30

Okay I'm confused as anything.
This states tier 2 has ''ban on households mixing'' which we currently have now.
So where has the 6 in gardens come from?!

@Shitfuckoh I don’t know where you got the graphic from but it’s full of errors

LatteLover12 · 12/10/2020 17:36

From a local paper x

It's the Daily Mail's graphic.......

Shitfuckoh · 12/10/2020 17:37

Yeah I see there's another one too which basically has tier 2 as ''No social contact in private homes or gardens outside your bubble''.

Is there an official one been published now so I can actually see what on earth is actually happening? Grin

IggyAce · 12/10/2020 17:44

Hi checking in from Teesside.
Will give the briefing a miss and just read about it when someone has sorted thru the waffle.
Was supposed to meet a friend today but she had to cancel as her dc needed collecting from school as she sits near a positive case. My dd said Friday people were just getting pulled from lessons left right and centre.

Someaddedsugar · 12/10/2020 17:46

@Weefreelassie2 Thanks hope you and DH are ok. I can only image how hard that must be.

I've just had a rather strange dizzy spell on the way to nursery - thankfully DP was with me so could drive us home but feeling very nauseous and like I can't stand up. I have absolutely no idea what's going on as I've never felt like this before.

I'm hoping it goes soon as there's a very tiny possibility my dad can arrange for me to see my grandma again tomorrow but will have to wait and see.

kimlo · 12/10/2020 18:06

@Someaddedsugar it sounds like it could be vertigo. Horrible.

Wonder why the press breifing is 7 now, the bbc was saying 6 this morning.

Someaddedsugar · 12/10/2020 18:11

@kimlo I don't suppose there's anything to stop the dizziness?

I think it was meant to be at 6 but wonder if the MP questions overran as that wasn't due to end until 5.50pm?

kimlo · 12/10/2020 18:16

when I get an attack I have to either ride it out if it's a short one or get tablets from the doctors. There are exercises you can do if you google them.

InTheLongGrass · 12/10/2020 18:19

Looks like all if the current Newcastle lockdown area, plus all of the 5 Teesside areas are in the high lever 2 stuff.

I also think tye family childcare may be scuppered again, unless it classes as a support bubble??

"People must not meet with anybody outside their household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place" all details on Gov.uk.

Geesus68 · 12/10/2020 18:40

Hiaye all!

Wondering if I can join. East Durham here, like some I’m confused because it seems we can now mix with 6 outdoors Hmm

My Mam went to Sunderland today and said she won’t be back for a long time. Said everyone was ignoring the one way system through the Bridges and not taking any notice of distancing at all.
Interested to see what Boris says at 7. I wasn’t expecting an address tbh
