So I've seen this in a few posts.

The idea that there is something "else" going on or that the restrictions being put in place aren't for the virus, they are for "something bigger"

So would anyone care to share what they think this "something bigger" actually is, rather than vague mutterings on other posts?

Government practising control on the population for shits and giggles whilst the economy goes tits up?

Oneandzero to clarify I categorically agree that there is zero chance that the government are selling my data for profit!

I'll watch what I post in the future as I thought it would be obvious I was being tongue in cheek to mirror some of the far fetched things I've read on here!

Friend shared a video of someone who seems quite frankly bonkers explaining that Covid isn’t really bad but it’s all part of a bigger plan.
Pretty much could be summarised as don’t break the law but do by not wearing a mask, not abiding by all the Covid rules. Went on to say
don’t get vaccinated as the new vaccines are going to be full of nanotechnology and this will be used to control us so we all become servants of the super rich who are buying up land on high ground and mountains so they will be safe when the flood comes. 🌊 ⛰

This is all about a new disaster film. Rather like the Truman show, but this time we're all Truman.

I've read that we're all going to be rounded up and sent to work camps and there's going to be a lot of getting rid of us under mysterious circumstances. I think they're fed up with overpopulation and they need compliant slaves or something.

Personally, I don't think the government could possibly get themselves organised enough to do something like this.

If they are thinking about work houses and JRM is at the helm getting them all built they will obviously be ' the best work houses in the world'! World beating work houses is the way forwards! Envy of the free world.

I think this is a result of governments lying about some (more mundane) things, so losing trust. And then people who want to sow chaos leap on that and say the government is lying about microchips and aliens and stuff, and because people are afraid and distrustful, that forms a narrative they can get behind.

The leap I don't get is how they think that so many global governments and scientific communities have managed to all come together and agree with this massive conspiracy, and to choreograph an entire worldwide response like this. Our bin rota doesn't always work. Goodness knows how something this gigantic could be coordinated without all the millions of people involved leaking about it.

We're all in The Truman Show and our ratings haven't been good, so the creators dreamed up Covid to show how people deal with adversity. The viewers were wetting themselves at us clearing the shelves of toilet roll and bulk buying pasta and hand soap.

I do find those that don't question at all and believe everything they are told, tend to lack a sense of humour and are quick to shout conspiracy where there isn't one, at all.

I'm not saying I don't believe there is a virus I'm saying its being used as an opportunity to do other things that people wouldn't normally accept.

Much like the Second World War, when a strict blackout was enforced and food, petrol and clothes were rationed.

Know what? After the war was over, they removed the blackout straight away, then they unrolled the rationing once there was enough production and transport for a free market to cope.

I was surprised to hear a while back long before all this , that russian propagandists were pushing anti vax ideas online.

So I do believe in some conspiracies!

Pedophiles would also get plenty of material with all of the incredibly intrusive pictures some people put up of their dc.

I just outlined the conspiracy theory to my DH who asked who was to benefit by it.

If it's anything it's this. Third world war was never going to be won with conventional weapons. I don't really believe it but if the Chinese wanted to become the next big Superpower then unleasing a virus and being prepared for it while the rest of the world falls apart is a good way of doing things. Haha these are so funny, i see a lot of these theories on my local fb group. I am in absolute disbelief at what these thickos believe. It’s curious that these are all the brexit voters and also have a lot of racist opinions. Recently one of the more vocal conspiracy theorist on the fb group was ranting about uncle bens taking the image of the guy off the packets. He was shouting about it, calling uncle bens snowflakes (oh the irony ) and then declared he will only be buying tilda from now on.
Sorry am deviating from the subject, but most of these theorist fall into the same category of people.

I’ve seen many otherwise lovely people I know down the rabbit hole with this one, ranging from “there’s a virus, but it’s not killed anyone” and “there is no virus, this is about restarting the economy and population control” to “it’s a plan to cover up the fact that our world leaders are all part of a paedophile ring”

I read an article about conspiracy theorists, it suggests that when an event is just too traumatic for an individual they find extreme comfort in conspiracy theories, which I totally understand, but my god... how dangerous. I wish it wasn’t real!

I don't get why people would say about population control. If it was then surely they'd have just left it free to wipe millions and millions of elderly people, rather than essentially shutting the world down to stop millions more dying.

I asked that, it’s too “obvious” then and us “sheeple” would figure it out.
