So I've seen this in a few posts.

The idea that there is something "else" going on or that the restrictions being put in place aren't for the virus, they are for "something bigger"

So would anyone care to share what they think this "something bigger" actually is, rather than vague mutterings on other posts?

Government practising control on the population for shits and giggles whilst the economy goes tits up?

Covid has clearly expossed the biggest conspiracy of all. There's no greater power hiding behind the shadows. The government is just a bunch of normal humans making their best guesses as to what to do and aren't actually that good at it. Which is far more terrifying than there being some secret shadow goverment if you ask me.

Definitely not zombie apocalypse. My neighbour had the virus back in march and he's definitely still walking and talking normally. Or maybe it's a new strain of zombie that can fool us?! I haven't seen his wife in a while 😱

Yes I believe there is something else at play and this virus is providing that opportunity...controlling people through fear for one thing, putting people into poverty deliberately...

Only have to look at the announcements...first of all it was this idnjust 6 months up to end of March, this week you started seeing and hearing its going to be end of April.

At first it was vulnerable should be lockdown for a few months now its being reported as indefinitely

I used to think its just scare mongering until you see it actually happen then you think well they did tell us but people choose to ignore it.

They are telling us what they are going to do but we turn a blind eye.

BBC had this article up saying xxx person in 2025 now gets up and works from home 4 days a week and wears a mask outside blah blah. 2025!!!!! Why would you even say that? Base on what?

They said smart meters were only for convenience never to give energy companies power to turn it off...only a few backs reported that Ofgem are reviewing proposals to change legislation so that new smart meters rolled out can be turned off by energy companies when the grid cannot cope. And you will not be able to sue them or claim money for doing it....but you know we get labelled as conspiracy theorists or tin foil hat people.

I'm not saying I don't believe there is a virus I'm saying its being used as an opportunity to do other things that people wouldn't normally accept.

I do not think there is 'something else going on' as such. However I do think our (and others..) government will be intently watching to see how compliant they can make people to various control measures. Thats not to say theres no danger and such that the conspiracy theorists make out of course, but I really really cannot understand why seeing family members is illegal, and why some nonsensical restrictions are conitnuing despite evidence they aren't helping, and evidence that some of them are actively making things worse (pub curfew, mainly on that one)

Of course making out its all conspiracy and no virus etc etc like some seem to be doing is utterly ridiculous given leaders around the worlds are all mainly acting on this, no fucking way did all that agreement just come, and they all decided to scare the shit out of the population for no reason.

But the app tracing and stuff, family members and a few other things don't sit well with me and I do think that compliance is being very strictly monitored and some rules seem very harsh despite seeming proof they don't work yet keep going, for reasons outside of 'controlling the virus' at times.

Some of it really makes me laugh , people seem completely unable to grasp the mundane reality that it's a virus , a clear nature based issue. Because of course we are all seeing all knowing humans , surely a simple virus couldn't be so dangerous honestly most of the conspiracy theorists are simply a worldwide group of that mouthy git on a high street that thinks they are hard and yells "are you looking at me mate ?"....generally the answer is no I was trying to see if that empty shop was going to be a pop up Christmas shop again this year.

I like the pigeon battery one though I've been known to encourage that one for a laugh.

I rather think believing in a conspiracy is sort of positive thinking really.....I mean if you think governments are that capable and efficient to organise a nationwide conspiracy how do you explain the rail systems ? Or in my are the illogical parking instructions that seem to lose them money?

Depends who u talk to. Some think it's all because NWo or agenda 21 with gates and rothschilds wanting to control and forcibly vaccinate people whilst killing 6.5 billion of us by 2030. But trump will save us. Or there're rich elitists eating children and protected by Democrats, also in the uk, but trump will save the kids. Or 'They' will roll out 5g, killing many and controlling others but trump will save everyone.

In reality it's just incompetent government. Some deals in the background to make themselves richer. Trying to hide Brexit from news here in the uk.

A parent that I often encounter on the school run if I don't hide quickly enough has informed me that all the Governments across Europe are colluding, backed heavily by the Chinese, to force us all to accept a digital future where all our information is online and we can be watched 24/7. There is, apparently, no real virus it's just a flu but 'they' are using it as a scare tactic. The groundwork for this was done with the Bird flu and Swine flu (???) Arguments about Brexit are all part of a smoke screen to put us off.

At least it's a change from him asking me to join him in his quest to have all computers banned from school because they're being hacked to get information about our children.

There is more going on here than we all see though.
There is only so much information that gets out, the rest is going on behind closed doors as per the norm.

I believe that it is all so chaotic that it makes no sense to your average Joe/Josephine a lot of the time. We as normal human beings will always try to make order out of chaos and, ta-da...conspiracy theories.

We also often get the sense a lot of people (not just polititians) are using the crisis to further their own agendas or make extra money from its fallout so it can sometimes appear conspiratorial even when it is just random coincidence making it look that way.

Either that or the cats are trying to take over the planet and they invented Covid to make us subservient but they got it wrong and it started killing us instead of making us feed them treats whilst stroking them softly all day long.

I'm not far enough down the rabbit hole to believe they engineered a killer virus. However, plenty of people in power (governments, companies, billionaires, etc) have taken full advantage of this virus to better themselves in terms of wealth and power. Also governments playing political games and scratching each others backs rather than doing everything they can to save lives. I find that far more terrifying and upsetting than the thought of illuminate and 5G mind control.

Religious conspiracies theories regard the end game as being the destruction of evil (those who received the Mark of the Beast) and the return of Christ. They see good (God, Christ) and evil (Devil, demons) literally moving behind the scenes ushering in one hell of an ending.
