Is your DS1 limit with his foods too? I tried to do a meal plan, taking allergies for my youngest in to account it was all easy, if I take DS1 out of it! I did one with his as a bracket and he only eats 3 things the same as the others, spag bol, pizza, nuggets Confused
Doesn't sound too bad does it? But the nuggets have to be a certain ones, so do the chips to go with it. He won't eat any other pizza apart from the most basic cheese one![/quote]
I gave up meal planning for us all together years ago. DS1 ate loads when he was little but is now really restricted. He doesn't really do breakfast do has a small carton of apple juice with a flapjack bar or home made banana bread or muffin. He won't drink juice that isn't in an individual serving. Lunch is either a salmon or Tuna and cucumber sandwich from specific shops. We've just got through a phase of only tesco supplying them. I'm not allowed to make them for him. Thankfully he will now fill up on plain toast if nothing is available. Dinner is a sausage sandwich. He has expensive taste in sausages, which I'm fine with. He eats a couple of portions of fruit a day, usually grapes plus melon or pineapple.

Ds2 is brown food boy. No pasta, rice or veg. No raw fruit, though he loves berries and rhubarb cooked into a pudding or cake. Very little dairy though I've managed to get lactofree soft cheese into his diet and he likes lactofree cream on his puddings and loves a cheesecake, even though it doesn't always agree with him. When we had the Chinese, last night, he had the Crispy chicken with the tiniest amount of sweet and sour sauce with oven chips. We can usually share an element of our meals with him but sometimes it's just nuggets or fish cakes! Sometimes I'm cooking 3 completely different meals while he talks at me non stop and dh can't distract him. I'll often buy ready meals just to make it all easier!

Tyere is one meal we'll all eat together and that's bells fish and chips!

Not sure I'm going to get this walk, today. The forecast is disgusting.

Speuclation only merseyside will be tier 3 initially?

Shitfuckoh · 12/10/2020 10:49

@PickAChew
Ah yes. Main meals can be quite tricky for DS1 but he loves carrots, peas, sweetcorn. He'll eat cucumber & peppers all day if he could. He'll also eat apple, oranges (no pips) and grapes.
When he was younger he did go through a stage of only eating Dairylea sandwiches (or on toast) and crisps! So much better than he used to be.

Miles away from DS2 who will eat most things apart from carrots!

Yes the weather is pretty bad at the moment and I've got to go collect my youngest from nursery soon.

Thankfully it's vertical so a brolly works. Just as well, since I just got to Gregg's and remembered I didn't have a mask in my warm coat pocket so had to dash back for one!

@PickAChew
Happy belated birthday..and a group celebration sounds a fab idea..and if we are still in in isolation / restrictions whatever
Then if we get a good spell of weather next spring..an Indian picnic is in order.🙏

So essentially we've just had an easing am I right? We are now allowed rule of 6 in gardens. I think I've officially given up trying to make sense of it all.

StealthPolarBear · 13/10/2020 11:01

Yes that's how I'm taking it :)

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 13/10/2020 18:00

So does that mean my daughter can call on your daughter again for sensible outdoor play?

StealthPolarBear · 13/10/2020 18:15

I believe so (assuming you are who i think you are!)

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 13/10/2020 18:31

She will be delighted. I might not ask you for gin in the park though if the weather stays the same!

nildesparandum · 15/10/2020 23:33

I have just had a call from my DS1 who does not live in the North East. He has covid and is isolating for a fortnight.He was coughing badly and says he has a temperature.I am ringing him back tomorrow to see how he is.I hope he does not get worse it is frightening.

StealthPolarBear · 16/10/2020 06:26
