Judging by what I see in the South Gosforth area there is little interest in the rule of 6 and social distancing. On the metro the default mask position seems to be nose out or mask under chin.

People are pretty compliant, here, but every time I've been in Eldon Square bus station people have been using them as chin hammocks, despite the signs. Mind, I always follow the arrows the wrong way in there.

Hope everyone's ok after the odd announcements throughout the day. It's all starting to feel very confusing. I'm wondering if we'll follow Scotland's lead in the next few days - although slightly confused by their rulings re numbers of children as it doesn't state how many adults are allowed to be with the children and surely an 'unlimited' number of under twelves need some supervision!

Any room for a (not so) little one?

Me and DH always go to Scotland for our anniversary in October but this year we cancelled it within weeks of booking it in March. We had a feeling things weren't going to pan out well! It's the one thing I'm really sore about because I look forward to it all year. I know technically we still could go but things are changing so quickly, who knows if it'll even be possible by then.

I've booked breakfast with Santa at Dobbies, i can imagine it will be easy to distance etc.
We're already wearing masks at school pick up time, I think this could be brought in everywhere. Most people are complying.
I was at the metro centre, morrisons and home bargains yesterday and it was fine with no panic buying I could see.

I’ve spent all day trying to get travel insurance for next months holiday.
Found the insurance, then Jet2 wiped the flights

Just saw this but have been posting on the other thread just now. So will comment to make sure I don't lose it. Having nice comforting jacket potato with beans and cheese for dinner. So basic but so yummy!

I'm in North Durham. Most people are compliant round here. Can't believe we are being subjected to all this when it didn't work the first time round.

I just received an email from Pizza Express telling me the Gosforth one has closed permanently I knew it had (and my favourite PE on Dean Street too) but I felt quite sad reading it. Me and DH used to go there a lot when we were newly married and we often go there for DD's birthday. Buggering bollocking Covid.

There was a voucher for a free pizza at the Jesmond one though. I've never been to that one, for some reason I always forget it's there.

@PennyDreadfuI we've fell in love with Scotland over the past 12 months, it's our 3rd time this year. We only booked this one to Moffat 2 weeks ago, we figured we keep to ourselves so were going from one building with 4 walls to another haha.

And my mum is not native mackem but speaks more northern than my dad!

South Durham here, yet to pass a home bargains without a mahoosive queue outside it 😂
