The phrase 'Give anyone a bit of power and you can guarantee that they will abuse it' springs to mind.

Presumably they'll be the equivalent of community safety wardens, a bit like we have at present to deal with anti social behaviour or noise nuisance.

For those against these wardens, what do you suggest? Zero enforcement? We don’t have the police power to do it, so that is the alternative.

What is there to question? This virus thrives when people get close enough for it to pass round. We need to stop getting close enough for it to do that whenever we possibly can.

There is science around covid transmission but any one who says 'the science' is the thick one as there is no such thing.

I don't understand why people say this. Mn is usually full of people wanging on that the government should be doing more. This minor restriction is working in Belgium.
