More easing? Please 3 households indoor at a time so our holiday can go ahead!

Telling people working from home to go back to work while masks are essential in shops and they're terrified of a second wave.

Total shit show.

AlexaShutUp · 17/07/2020 11:07

Total shit show.

Yep

Beebityboo · 17/07/2020 11:17

I missed what he said about closer contact with families, what time frame was that?

foreverblowingbubbles87 · 17/07/2020 11:18

When will baby groups resume? I know he soft play has to remain closed but what about actual baby groups? Do they fall under the same category's

Justjoinedforthis · 17/07/2020 11:19

He is a terrible public speaker. Said 'systems' instead of 'symptoms'! Trying to pass the blame onto employers re:working from home.

itsthefinalcountdown · 17/07/2020 11:19

I think he said November at the earliest for close contact . Devastated - sibling is in residential care and they’ve banned all visits until social distancing is gone and/or there’s a vaccine .

KillerTCell · 17/07/2020 11:19

Large gatherings in sports stadiums by autumn WTFShock

Beebityboo · 17/07/2020 11:21

November before we can hug family but sports stadiums opening in the Autumn, have I got that right?

Justjoinedforthis · 17/07/2020 11:23

Just said grandparents can join a household bubble - did that rule change and I missed it?

Belindabelle · 17/07/2020 11:23

It’s the old Jam tomorrow spiel. He even mentioned being back to normal by Christmas. Never going to happen.

vodkaredbullgirl · 17/07/2020 11:24

Probably putting the blame on others.

Kandigirl71 · 17/07/2020 11:24

missed Bojo's update, did anything interesting crop up?

labyrinthloafer · 17/07/2020 11:26

Total shitshow sums it up.

We've just had a report saying we could be facing a really tough winter, and so the plan is mass gatherings and scrap social distancing in November!

He may be 'aware' of the report, but he still hasn't read it, has he? Angry

SistemaAddict · 17/07/2020 11:27

Something about grandparents can provide childcare as they'll be in your bubble. And it's up to employers to sort out how they want to operate.

ineedaholidaynow · 17/07/2020 11:28

@labyrinthloafer Boris trying to explain that point now, but failing!

labyrinthloafer · 17/07/2020 11:28

@Justjoinedforthis

Just said grandparents can join a household bubble - did that rule change and I missed it?
He meant you can have two households now, so that could be your family and one other household, which could be a set of GPs. Not just adding GPs in addition I think.
labyrinthloafer · 17/07/2020 11:30

If they scrap distancing in November the office will become a risky place to be Sad

Justjoinedforthis · 17/07/2020 11:30

This is from the BBC from 6th July - think he just invented that with a pair of grandparents you can join the bubble?

"Grandparents:
If you are single, you could bubble with one of your children's households, but you must stick with them
Households of two grandparents cannot bubble if their children live with other adults"

Justjoinedforthis · 17/07/2020 11:31

@labyrinthloafer ah thanks - so the rules changed and two families can form a bubble? Must have missed that completely sorry!

PJsEveryday · 17/07/2020 11:31

It's almost like the Gov't want a 2nd wave.

Helenj1977 · 17/07/2020 11:31

November will be back to normal??? They're preparing for a shit winter.

It's almost as bad as Leicester reopening schools when they've already closed 🤣

labyrinthloafer · 17/07/2020 11:32

No, think it sounds like bojo made it up see above ⬆️

Yetiyoga · 17/07/2020 11:32

Will have to try and watch it back later as I'm in work. November for hugging. Feels ages away :(

Justjoinedforthis · 17/07/2020 11:33

He is such a bad communicator.

labyrinthloafer · 17/07/2020 11:35

The worry is it is right in the middle of when things will potentially be kicking back off.

None of this makes any sense - unless you want more cases. I don't understand at all. Sad
