Will the scheme persuade you to go out?

By the way, I think that it is a bit counterproductive to arrange things so that eating out is cheaper than takeaways. Takeaways would also help the restaurants and are relatively safer, which is in fact a good thing. If restaurants have 1/2 the capacity now, then presumably it would be great for them if some of the shortfall were to be made up by an increase in takeaways.

I wonder why the government didn't get a company to sponsor this. The cost is only about £500m and think of how much popularity it would get if Coca Cola sponsored it and you had to get a Coke with your meal.

ahhhh... I didn't understand the 'eating out' thing at all! Glad someone spelled it out. I had literally no clue.
