Anyone living there - how do you feel about this? Personally I would feel terribly trapped, almost like I was being punished, like when teacher's used to keep a whole class behind due to the behaviour of a minority.

If you want to go to fosse Park then go, wear a mask and follow all guidance but just go.

I think though, that as today marks day 1 of the new face mask rules this will all be swept under the carpet.

What is the situation with driving lessons? I live in Leicester city in an area where driving lessons are rife. They seem to be carrying on as normal. Are they allowed in Leicester?

I would just go if I wanted to, and buy a 20p packet of paracetamol somewhere.

The rule is contradictory (and quite frankly madness) so just make your own risk assessment.

Just had the door to door testers down our street so now waiting on results.

Wasn't too bad if anyone is worried about getting a test, a bit uncomfortable as you have to touch the swab to your tonsils but it is quick and definitely not painful.

Interestingly 2 of the 3 the nurses and all 3 consultants who I know of from central leicester who all ignored lockdown and went on holiday went to Spain.

2 are back already, 3 are still there but apparently the quarantine for for travellers to Spain do not apply to them as NHS frontline staff.

You could not make this stuff up. It's a farce. I wonder how the patients in obstetrics and the world class heart ward in Leicester would feel about this if they knew.
