Tell me, who voted for Dominic Cummings? The man who’s running the country?

Heffa serious question. If this is about not getting over Brexit how does that account for all the pro Brexit Torys, pro Brexit Tory supporters and even pro Tory newspapers and media outlets all saying he is wrong.

Even The Spectator has said he isn't fit to govern.

Democracy is going down the pan quite rapidly. There are plans to limit MPs in the house to 50 people, drop the online version of parliament and no proposal put forward to cover voting. The dictatorship is cumming.

There was a list somewhere of how Tory MPs supported this situation. That would be a good way to predict who is in and out.

So the matter is effectively closed?

The test and trace plan is crucial to avoiding a second peak, but it has been complete shambles so far, let's hope there is enough public buy-in that people will still self-isolate when they have to. It's non-salaried people on zero hour contracts who will experience a massive dip in their income to SSP (£95 a week) but they are expected to make that sacrifice while DC was completely above that.

In that situation, especially if symptomless, I know I can honestly say I would struggle to comply as the government, doesn't care why should I care?

@Alsohuman - totally agree with what you say. That is my big fear, that we have an unelected individual pulling the strings of government. WHY is Boris so afraid to deal with this man? He clearly knows where all the bodies are buried.

WHY is he repeatedly claiming this man 'acted honestly and with integrity', when he so obviously has not?

Nobody is indIspensable and that includes Boris himself. His unwavering support for DC leaves an uneasy gut churning feeling for many of us. His pleading with people to 'move on' makes him look like a desperate lover.

What DC did, as reprehensible as it is, pales into insignificance when you look at the absolute bullshit he trotted out in his press conference. That was the tipping point. I think most people would have been a bit more prepared to forgive and forget if he has immediately put his hands up and said something like, 'Fair cop. I made an error of judgement. I'm sorry for what I've done. I have no excuses and I'm NOW GOING TO RESIGN.'

look at what is happeni g with Hungary, Poland, Russia, Venezuela, Brazil, etc. I think we have an extremely long way to go before we are anyway near those countries.

In terms of democracy?
A populist lunatic was voted in. Hmm You may find that you won't be that far soon.
And the lunatic in Brazil was voted in pretty much as recently as the one in the UK. It's still not a dictatorship and has about the same length of way towards it as the UK.
Hungary and Poland didn't start that long ago either.

I don't understand the parliament thing either - why can't they just relocate somewhere where they can socially distance?
