Go UK civil service!

Musicforsmorks · 24/05/2020 18:12

Left left left blah blah right right right, left lefty lefty, righty righty righty, blah blah blah o please stfu.

It’s childish.
Can’t we just have a sensible discussion without taking sides?
What about those of us who have none?

MaxNormal · 24/05/2020 18:12

ThePianist38 What a ludicrous and bizarre thing to say. Emailing an MP to express concern about a political scandal is exactly the right thing to do. This is just when they need to know the feelings of their constituents.

BIWI · 24/05/2020 18:13

emailing your local MP about a matter that he and the whole country was aware of is busybody childish behaviour

Grin

Don't be ridiculous!!!

Our MPs are there to represent their constituents and their constituents' views - how can they do that if we don't let them know what we think/feel?!

Or would you rather that no-one said anything and DC and BoJo get away with this kind of behaviour?!

You're too funny!

1forsorrow · 24/05/2020 18:13

I love J K Rowlings response to Oliver Dowden who said DC followed the guidelines and looked after his family. End of story.

JKR replied, "“I know ending stories and this ain’t it, chief.”*

Let's hope she's right.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 24/05/2020 18:15

Well Johnson has totally revealed the contempt in which he holds those who voted for him.

Glad I wasn't one of them, but wtf happens now? By the time the election comes round in 4 years, all of this will have been forgotten.

1forsorrow · 24/05/2020 18:15

@Musicforsmorks but this isn't just about left or right is it. Steve Baker cannot be called left wing even if you delirious.

AnneKipanki · 24/05/2020 18:20

The Civil Service tweet has been deleted.

Carly767 · 24/05/2020 18:20

Reckon those two are going to be gone soon, taking the hit so the party continues...

whatashower · 24/05/2020 18:22

That was all such a doublespeak shitshow that I cannot even work out that if I actually stay at home and refuse to go out at all, whether I am doublebluffing the government.

I am now feeling the same heartsink and mortification I get when Trump does his worst. Wow.

JudyCoolibar · 24/05/2020 18:23

The nastiness from the left is astonishing

How do you account for the outright condemnation by the likes of Steve Baker? No-one in their wildest dreams could accuse him of being anything other than very right wing.

ThePianist38 · 24/05/2020 18:23

Or would you rather that no-one said anything and DC and BoJo get away with this kind of behaviour?! -they just did, with your email and all😂

deydododatdodontdeydo · 24/05/2020 18:26

The nastiness from the left is astonishing.

Keep telling yourself that if you must.
People who voted Tory are also livid about this.

PicklePig31 · 24/05/2020 18:26

You vote for them, they are accountable.

His rules, that everyone had to abide by, apart from him.

Absolutely flabbergasted. I always knew BoJo was spineless but this is a new low.

Never forget.

BIWI · 24/05/2020 18:28

Not necessarily @ThePianist38.

But yes of course they'd get away with it if no-one expressed any concerns

I'm not really quite sure what the point is that you're trying to make, unless you support DC's actions/Bojo's speech?

Pertella · 24/05/2020 18:31

I reckon ThePianist38 is after DCs job and is using this thread as a showcase for their mad spindoctoring skillz Wink

I have hopes. I mean, how many times in politics have we seen "we fully support x over such and such" and next couple of days the person resigns.

TwentyViginti · 24/05/2020 18:34

The Civil Service tweet is still up!

countrygirl99 · 24/05/2020 18:35

If being angry with hypocrisy and contempt for the general public is left wing I guess I must be. Does that mean if you are right wing you think that is ok?

kateandme · 24/05/2020 18:35

this is going to go away isnt it.im so angry i alm,ost want to cry.what an absolute pile of shit.wankers!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/05/2020 18:37

The Civil Service made the 6 o'clock news on the BBC! Brave person operating that account.

SusieOwl4 · 24/05/2020 18:38

Can someone explain where I have this wrong ? Him and his wife had the virus , they moved to another home to be close to their parents in case they needed some help with their child if they were too ill ?

They then stayed in that second home self isolating . They did not need their parents help .

The parents just got shopping and put it on the door .

The other trip is not proven ?

And all of the above is covered in the details of lock down ?

So what am I missing ?

And what on earth were the hypocrites of the press doing completely ignoring social distancing rules outside his house ?

derxa · 24/05/2020 18:39

Steve Baker cannot be called left wing even if you delirious. Steve Baker is an arch Brexiteer who thought he would get a cabinet post. He didn't and this is his chance to stick the knife in.

Clemmieandareallybigbunfight · 24/05/2020 18:41

Steve Baker has a very clear moral compass. He is certainly right wing but he's not amoral like Boris.
