I am not. I am referring to increased posts on a Covid-19 Facebook group and peoples comments on posts, news links and news websites

I'm unsure if people are just getting twitchy or they genuinely believe this isn't a real thing??

I guess they are conspirasists, they don't seem to have any facts or even logic behind their statements.

Pretty much just 'My friends, neighbours, dog walkers, hairdresser said a post he saw said a hospital somewhere was empty..'

Like 9/11 wasn't terrorism, the coronavirus isn't a real virus. Its population control to enforce vacinations and bring about the new world order.

So these idiots think that governments around the world conspired together and fabricated a pretend virus and then convinced scientists and actors to comply with this farce and hoodwinked all those people who hold them to account and, just to add legitimacy, decided to tank their economies? To what end, just for sport?

Oddly the one full on total flat earther I know has gone very quiet recently.

Well hospitals are cetainly 'empty' compare to the whole crisis we were supposed to have. (Assuming you are talking about the UK here)
There is a reason for that. They are deterring people from going to hospital and they are asking people in care home to stay there....

What I am trying to say is that it is also possible that some of those 'conspiracy theories' to actually have a totally reasonnable answer.
I cant answer to the 'it doesnt exist' though....

I know full well that the virus is real (one of my colleagues is in a very bad way) but at the very least, the hospital I work in is empty. I'm working on a covid ward and we got our first patient since Friday today.

If the hospital I work in is half empty I'm sure a lot of others are and that's probably where a lot of these doubts are coming from. Fact is, they sent anyone home they could or to care homes etc to make room and it hasn't been needed yet. Doesn't mean the virus is a hoax.

Stuff posted on social media platforms is not 'news' it's opinion at best.

Stuff posted on several media outlets without proper referencing is also not proper news, it's click bait mostly and people need to critically think about what they're reading and forwarding.

What this pandemic has highlighting for me is the amount of fake news about that's almost impossible to stop but also the piss poor quality of some journalism. Too much celebrity culture seems to have left those skills lacking.

Find yourself 2-3 well regarded media channels and ignore the rest of it.

Hospitals are quieter because lots of things have been cancelled, people are afraid to go and Covid pressure is now easing in some areas

Some wards are actually closed, staff redeployed to other areas and lots of important routine treatment on hold

I am reading a book where the plot has developed into dark forces releasing a worldwide virus followed by revealing a vaccine which contains a microchip which rewrites human dna...

How weird is that? Someone recommended it to me at the beginning of lockdown.

I suspect that the NHS are quiet because the Worried Well are worrying at home rather than in A&E or GPS waiting room.
I do worry that the actual unwell are too scared to contact their GPS though.
I have been crippled with sciatica for 3 weeks and had no problems accessing telephone appointments. GP was brilliant and treatment although slow is working. DSis has had all her follow up appointments after serious illness last year and Dniece has had her routine appointment with her cardiologist. If your in the system all is normal. It may just be fear that is keeping people away from hospitals. The media are not really helping!

The virus can’t be made up, what about the people who have died from it etc etc..however, I do believe there’s something strange about the whole thing..I’m just not sure what 🤷‍♀️

This is because the curve is flattening, and numbers are coming down. Instead of seeing it as a win people are bitching that it wasn't as bad as we had been led to believe it is.

Hospitals are quieter because non urgent day cases have been cancelled and car parks are empty because nobody is visiting.

No - but the neighbour who chewed my ear off (from a 2m distance mind) for 45 mins the other day on my way back from the shops is very suspicious!

Lots of talk of it being made in a lab and released deliberately by China, the 5G hysteria and probably lots more that I missed as I was tuned out by then. The scary thing is that he seems to have lots of likeminded friends and they are all very vocal about it on social media, which is no doubt brainwashing others in the process

I work in a care home that has been operating for quite a number of years. Our average monthly death rate was 8-10.

We have had 51 residents pass away this month

My SIL works in a care home and thankfully they have (only - hate this!) had 3 deaths so far.
