Just a Yes or No thread there are hundreds on the ins and outs of this.

This morning I read that Matt Hancock is claiming support for an extension is strong amongst the public but that’s not the impression I’m getting from social media

So, will you stick to the rules if lockdown in the UK is extended for another 3 weeks

Yes or No

@CaroleFuckingBaskin

Not meaning to pick on you. It's just that you've most recently said something that others have said, too - namely that you will start having coffees with family in the garden (i.e. socially distanced).

The only way I can have a coffee with any of my family is by travelling 200 miles. I'm not then going to sit in the garden and drive back home. It's just an example of how we are not "all in this together", and that everyone's situation is different.

If I lived near to my family, I could come across as being virtuous and sticking to the rules, albeit in a slightly relaxed format. However, I don't, and so my only options are a) no real-life social contact at all (which is not going to happen: I know all too well how that one ends), or b) a complete flouting of the lockdown.

Thanks Bizawat whispering as this isn't yes or no..

If we don't get a vaccine or drug therapy then yes, I see your point. If we do get either of those then hopefully we will get them before a time when we'd have reached herd immunity naturally. Though that assumes we'd only be trying to reach it through controlled peaks within nhs capacity which could take years. This really is the world of no good answers.

Cantata - I your shoes I would travel the 200 miles. Mental health must be weighed up against the risk of the virus

Yes I will stick to it even though I miss the adult DC and long to see the DGC.

We should really stay locked down but DH has a hospital visit later in the week and I really want to stop off at an Aldi while we are out. I probably won't but I am fed up with online food shopping. I never thought I would miss the food shop and choosing stuff for myself.

It will be a long time before I travel on public transport or go to the cinema/concert or to a swimming pool. I do miss going out for a meal and calling in at the pub. But they are just nice extras and easy to do without really.

Yes I will follow the rules which are there to protect Is as a whole. In the context of our lives we will barely look back on this one day.

Will still social distance ie work from home, shopping deliveries etc but I will see close family. Mental health is more important to me at this stage
